    Radiator Replacement

On my 2012 (originally purchased in December 2012), my radiator was leaking and replaced under my CPO warranty in December 2018 at around 80k miles.

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

I'm really curious what the resale/depreciation will be on the Grenadier. If similar "off road oriented" models are any indication, it's probably pretty low. Jeep Wranglers barely depreciate, especially the 4-door unlimited models. G-Wagons almost defy logic on how little they depreciate. I...

There may be nothing you can do... P0016

@Al Pizzica 's LR4 is a 2013, meaning it should have come with the updated design of the timing chain guides and tensioners from the factory.

There may be nothing you can do... P0016

I bought my 2012 LR4 as a CPO with 42k miles and the chains needed to be done on mine at around 80k miles before the CPO warranty ran out after 3 years of ownership. I changed my oil religiously every 6k miles or less. The original owner was a lease and maybe ran the oil changes per LR's...

    LR4 brake issues

It's about what I've read for disc life if cheaper discs are used. Hell, I even had problems with EBC rotors after around 20k miles, and a lot of people love those.

CEL: P0261 Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low - Time for Injector Job?

Land Rover virtually recommends it. I know my dealer does it on their warranty vehicles.

    LR4 brake issues

What brand rotors did you use? You've pretty much changed all the parts I'd think it could be, so it could be one of those has gone bad already. LCAs typically last around 60k miles or more, although it's not beyond the realm of possibility that ones could go bad at 44k miles. What LCA and...

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

Really? That's wild. I rarely see them anymore, and I see FFRRs, RRS, and Defenders all the time.

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

More likely that the new Defender would have been the Disco 5, and the Grenadier would have been the new Defender. But bottom line is I can't see a world where the Disco 5 continues as a profitable model. Who's the buyer for that now? Between a Range Rover Sport and the Defender, there can't...

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

It sticks out like a sore thumb. I can't imagine that knob has so much proprietary BMW stuff in it that Ineos couldn't have designed their own.

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

Another hangup of mine I suppose is that for the price of the Grenadier, I could by a pretty nice used, low mileage pre-2019 G-Wagon. There are 3 or 4 Mercedes dealerships in town and the G-Wagon is fairly reliable regardless. And I wouldn't get to be a guinea pig buying the first car of a...

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

I know @Stuart Barnes started what looks to be the top web forum for the Grenadier, theineosforum.com. Looks like he hasn't posted here since September. Not sure if he still has his LR4 or how he's loving Grenadier ownership.

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

I would love to drive one. I've heard a lot of complaints about steering, but I've daily driven a lot of solid front axle vehicles in my time and am curious how it measures up. Mileage does not concern me as much as I live 5 miles from my work and commute by bike 2 or 3 days a week. I went...

    2013 LR4 Suspension Compressor

I could do an AMK in probably less than an hour and a half. It's one of those jobs that takes you far less time to do a second time than it does the first. Only issue would be having something you feel safe lifting the vehicle (jackstand, jack, etc.) and crawling a little underneath while the...

Was that thing confiscated in a drug bust? Looks like a bag of ******* blew up in the back seat.

    2013 LR4 Suspension Compressor

I can't remember what I've used to get to that top bolt, but I got it fairly easily. It was either a ratcheting box end, a wobble extension, or a flexible extension. Then again, I have AMK, and the mounting bracket is a little different than Hitachi.

    Highest mileage LR4?

Right now, I'm thinking I may move on from my LR4 by the end of this year. No real reason other than this January will be 9 years with my LR4 and I'm ready for something new. Still runs great. No problems, no issues, no stories. Just ready to move on. Watching this auction myself.

    Headlight bulb recommendation needed

If you don't want to do any modifications and you want to stick with the halogens, the best bet is probably just a name brand bulb (Phillips or Osram) with no gimmicks.

    Headlight bulb recommendation needed

The best halogen replacement, as mentioned above, is an H9 bulb. They are much brighter. The downside is you have to ever-so-slightly modify the electrical connection on the bulb to remove a plastic tab, and the bulbs only last around 6 to 7 months. This was my first stop on my long process...

    Highest mileage LR4?

This. If you look at used listings, almost every 100-series Land Cruiser you see has well over 200k miles. The ones that don't are currently listed in the high $teens. Even the ones with 250k miles are listed over $10k. But there was a time in or around 2017-18 where you could buy one for...

    2013 LR4 Suspension Compressor

As others have said, you are not comparing apples to apples. You got an aftermarket compressor and had an indy do it. The only difference between what you did and what an OEM compressor would cost is the difference in the cost of the parts. You can get an OEM Hitachi from one of the UK-based...

Because the relays eventually go bad, too. So it's just a common maintenance item to do at the same time as you do the compressor.

    2013 LR4 Suspension Compressor

I have seen too many reports of janky aftermarket compressors failing. Given I use my LR4 off road, I don't ever want to be someplace where my compressor fails, I'm ****** on the trail, and all because I wanted to save a buck on something that needs replaced around every 80,000 miles.

    2013 LR4 Suspension Compressor

Island 4x4, LRDirect, LRparts.net, etc. All UK-based places where you can get an OEM compressor for fairly cheap.
