There is a caveat to the cracks in the arms. Some of the cracks are (LR) factory accepted. It's up to the dealer to inspect the arms and determine if the arms need to be replaced. It's not uncommon to have small stress cracks in these arms.. (I think that sucks personally!) I did have mine... -

The extra cost? Are you referring to the price of the 09 D3 or the cost of maint? The base price on an 09 D3 is actually cheaper than the 08 models. Some of the dealers here offer lifetime free oil changes if you purchase from them directly on CPO and new vehicles.. I never really found any... -

Stupid Question but need answer! - How to aim halogen headlamp assembly?
the OEM xenon headlamps generally (depends on model number I do believe) should come with a dip switch to adjust the light position in cases like this. It sets the light beam higher or lower.. I can't speak for any after market solutions though. :( Sorry And actually a pretty good question! -

The bushing on the LHD D3s are indeed softer than the UK and EU based D3s. This is to accomodate the "luxury" ride that US based car buyers prefer. If you order a set of bushing from the Uk, you'll find the ride is generally different, due to the bushings actually being much stiffer. The... -

I too receive a loaner vehicle, (generally another LR3 or LR vehicle) each time I take the truck in for any kind of service. I did however purchase my vehicle from the dealer which services it. -
Alignment Defect / Uneven Premature Tire Wear
Make sure the shop was albe to put the truck in "tight tolerance mode" to properly align the tires, otherwise you'll be going back again for another alignment sooner than later... If the indy shop can't do this, it's best to let the dealer do the alignment, or find an indy shop that is capable... -

You can get this installed at places other than the dealer, but honestly the price difference from what I've seen isn't that dramatic. If I was still under warranty, I would probably have the dealer perform the work, so that LR records show everything was performed at a dealer. Just my two... -
Has anyone's "transmission jerk" returned?
There is a software update to address the "California roll stop" as my dealer refers to it. I had this when I first purchased my truck, but since the update I haven't noticed it's return. -
Windshield replacement
Make sure there are no rock chips and such in your windscreen if you're taking it in for heating issues. Some dealers are quick to blame the chips for damaging heating elements etc. ;-) -

Usually damage to the windscreen are not covered under warranty, and the replacement can be steep. If you get the dealer to put it in, you're probably looking at $900-$1000 for a replacement at most dealers. I had to have mine replaced after some fun offroading left two huge chunks missing out... -

With the aftermarket light solutions, do they offer the self leveling capability? Also is there a dip control for the light itself? Just curious if they address these issues or if it's just a simple plug in light solution? -

I can source all those parts for much cheaper than my dealer prices them, direct from England. ;-). I'd just pay the labor cost at the dealership. But I see your point for someone who doesn't want to pay the cover cost. By the time I reach 75k I'll have another Rover in the driveway most... -

I'm running GY SAs on my truck, and they are a damn good tire. The HPs though are pure crap, especially on a D3 -
Replacing the rear differential??
For the price of the extended warranty you can pay for the diff and have cash leftover. Almost $5k for a 100k warranty is a bit absurd! ( I have CPO to 75k, and didn't see the sense is paying the price for 100k extension. ) -

I do find the fog lamps help especially in heavy snow fall situations. I've also noticed in heavy wet snowfall the snow will buildup on the front of the headlamps, so the fog lights come in really handy until you can pull over to wipe the damn snow off lol.. You'd think the headlamp washers... -

Wow, that's pretty sad. What kind of tires are they for $303 cost? Which dealership is this? You probably should contact the Dealership GM, and lookup who owns the dealership itself, and attempt to contact them as well. Best of luck, and sorry you're having such a bad run with them. -

If it's CPO, you should have gotten a CPO checklist from the dealer that lists the tire tread depth etc. Those tires definitely do not meet LRs CPO checklist for tires.
