I don't know--it might depend on the dealer. My Land Rover dealer gave me a 1 year/12K mile warranty with a $100 deductible based on the vehicle history and mileage. There are guys way more knowledgeable than me here, but my research showed me that one of the biggest differences is that the 3rd row seating became standard in 07 (I believe?) So if the 3rd row is important, make sure to verify on 05's and 06's. I recently purchased an 05 with low mileage...- manbehindbeard

Extended Warranties
I just bought my LR3 and got 1yr/12k included in the purchase. I tried to talk them into 2/24. They said they'd let me buy another 1/12 "at cost" for 1600 so that 2300 seems steep. When you say wholesale do you mean you found it at auction? Or did you just talk the dealer down? I'm in the same predicament--looking for an '06 or '07 SE with under 50K in the in the $20-25 range...but can't seem to find a dealer with anything like that here in Nashville.- manbehindbeard

Hey J.D.- How many miles on the 06? I'm looking into buying an 05 or 06 LR3 and I'm trying to figure out the general mileage where things start to go south...that way I'll know what questions to ask when I'm interrogating the previous owner.
