Some of this has to be weight / aerodynamics and some just has to be advances in engine control tech. The I6 in the D5 P360 has EPA ratings of 19 city / 25 highway.... a fair bit better than the 15/19 of the LR4. A diesel LR4 would be quite interesting... -

Increased Performance
Forget which one you have, but if you have the V8, you're pretty much stuck. If you have the V6, the pulley and tune from Velocity AP will make a significant difference in terms of acceleration. Other than that, I'd just keep it well maintained. IE new bushings / control arms if they're... -

Be honest! What's the deepest snow you've driven in with your LR4
Oh, and 100% agree on the need for snow tires if you encounter real snow. I've gone from the factory continentals to the cooper AT3s to blizzaks, and the blizzak is miles above the other two in terms of keeping all 6000 lb going where you want it. I think the two common snow tires for this... -

It is pretty hard to get the tail to step out -- seems to default to terminal oversteer with an ever-widening radius. -

Door is acting strange when i open it
Weird, I thought I had typed a reply but it wasn't here. Normally if the car is locked and the key is outside next to the door , pulling the handle will *unlock* the door. Is the door actually *locking* when you pull it ? You're not pressing the lock button, right ? -

Suspension dropped while in traffic
Are you sure it dropped then raised back up? It may have been the front dropping (points down) then the rear dropping in succession (making you level again). I've had 2 LR4s and they both do that once in a while when stopped at a long light. I believe that, as long as you're not in tight... -
