Wheel bearing wonder

Keep me in mind if you are interested either way. Seems like a shame to part it out. It to me is the last of the good rovers. No offense to others with newer rovers but it was truly English . Looked at a LR. Looked typical ford to me. Hosed up independent frnt suspension and all. -

How long did you research Land Rovers before you purchased one?
Sat in it. Test drove it. Crawled under it. Gave the lady doctor her money for two year old 95 discovery and never looked back. Better than any Detroit iron and I worked for the auto companies. -

95 discovery really cold out 13 mpg. Warm out summer gas 15.5-17.5mpg -

Starter removal
Best to use a 5/16th Allen socket with an extension. Remove any rd grit from inside the Allen bolt head. Make sure if you don't already know to undue negative battery lead before working. -

Heck I took my starter out hooked jumper cables to the battery put the grnd on the battery and touched the positive to the stud. Now that's a bench test,. Won't tell you if it's sluggish but it will tellyou if it works at all. When I tore it down like I said before all of the bearings and... -

I could be wrong but I think it's ok to go high speed in lock. I have never done it as if I'm going that fast there is no reason to lock it in my opinion as it is full time 4 wheel in my 95 discovery. Going In reverse should unwind it as the manual states. -

Anti lock brake
Adding to joey's directions . Be careful prying or pulling them out. Check the end of it for cracks. Hopefully they did not destroy them whilst reassembling after installing new bearings. Push all the way back in and they will reseat themselves. Ps: sometimes one may think a mechanic has... -
