Is there any reason to not use synthetic oil?

I use Mobil1 5W30 SUV Synthetic - meets/exceeds all of the LR specs for oil, and my dealer has no issue with using it for my oil changes. Have used it from the 15,000 change onwards - oil changes are at 7,500 intervals in the US on the V8. The old 'engine was not designed for it' routine is...

    LR3 Interior Care

Go back to the LR after an hour in the sun, and you'll see the cream had really soaked in like this: Take a new clean soft cloth, and buff the remaining cream until you have a nice, even, natural leather finish on the seats. Keep turning over the cloth so you get a new fresh side to...

    LR3 Interior Care

The first problem you'll face, is that the cream tends to separate in the jar, leaving you something that looks like clotted cream that's gone off! No problem - loosen the lid a little, and pop in the microwave for 30 secs on high - re-tighten the lid, and shake well. You'll end up...

    Itunes on Iphone

Mine works just fine - either your cable is bad, or there is a fault with the AUX input, or you have the volume on the iPhone set low. I can get normal listening volume with no problems - it sounds great!

    strange...

Doesn't the LR system disable power to 'non essential' items when the battery volts are low? I seem to remember seeing this somewhere - sort of an automatic power saving system that cuts in until the car has been going for a while, and the alternator has put some charge into the battery. That...

    bearing noise comming from motor

So did the pitch of the noise change with engine speed at all - or was it constant? Or did it change with road speed perhaps?

Windshield wipers cycle once during startup or ignition off

Bluebird has it right - wiper stalk has ben nocked up one notch into AUTO mode - i.e. the car decides when it wipes the windshield. Moving the wiper stalk down one notch switches it OFF.

    G4 LR3 in Rancho Mirage

As you'd expect, it's a well kitted out vehicle (Sales lady said $15k of extra kit) - which did 7000 miles or so in the Nevada Passage challenge http://www.nevadapassage.com/index.html Great to see it all decked out, but the price tag is a turn-off - they want $52,000  Been on the...

    08 LR3 long lasting?

Current LR3 model is vasty better than previous LR vehicles - you should be in great shape I do more miles than you a year, and I've had my 08 LR3 since summer - nice to report no major issues to date (23,000 miles) Warranty is probably good for any long term purchase - I will be considering...

    The 2009 LR3

Use a UV resistant sealant on the black plastic to keep them looking good. http://www.autopia-carcare.com/ult-7012-120.html I've found this one works the best.

    The 2009 LR3

Correct - but some dealers will 'negotiate' a maint package into the deal in order to offset the extra cost - pays to ask

    The 2009 LR3

09 comes as std with 'ugly' painted trim, 19" alloys, and no roof rails :stupid: Pictures of an 09 at my local stealership below: Interior wood looked like self adhesive fake wood trim - WTF!

    why replace rotors often

The surface area on the LR3 rotors is rather small for the weight of vehicle, so they may well wear out faster than you'd like. With my LR3 up on the lift the other day, wheels off having new tires fitted, I was somewhat amazed at how small the rotor surface area really was!
