    Hey Chris, I called Steve last week to get a quote for the bumper, hood,mirrors and fender. He wanted $850 for the entire job. I mentioned your name but he told me that the LR4 is a big truck. Anyway, thanks for all your help. Seems like $800 is the going rate out there. -Adam

    Ouch! sorry to hear about the windshield. The deflector is held down by 5 clips. They also comes with 5 small 3M strips that goes on the hood before putting on the clips. Hopefully that doesn't leave a mark when I decide to remove them.

    Thanks Willie. Besides bugs which is the least of my concerns because you can always wash them off, it helps protects the hood from stones, dings and other sorts of debris on the road. Also I hope it deflects stones from hitting the windshield too. I hear it cost about $800 to replace a Land...

    Just installed my hood wind deflector and got the front windows tinted too. The black wind deflector blends in with the Santorini Black perfectly.

    Just picked up a Land Rover hood wind deflector for my LR4 this afternoon, has anyone installed this yet and could give some quick tips? The instruction seems straight forward but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask.

    Acceleration/braking problems anyone?

    I haven't had any issue with my brakes at all.Maybe I'm just being too careful with my truck because its soooo new and I'm babying it.

    What's the name of your local dealer? My dealer is charging me $85 for "Land" and another $86 for "Rover".

    Just called my dealer and they wanted $895 for just the front bumper and hood. He said that they sublet the job to a vendor. As for the "Land Rover" on the hood, the vendor has a machine that cuts out the letters from the 3M film.

    Acceleration/braking problems anyone?

    This is my first LR and I do find braking a tad tricky. You need to apply the brakes a little harder than you think. Not sure because of the weight of the truck or just bad brake system in general.
