    Today's Ride

I broke a brake pad sensor monitor after a trip through some really thick mud. It caked up in the wheel and when it started to free itself because of the rotation of the tire it pressed the wire of the sensor into the drum of the wheel and it was over in no time. It was the right rear wheel...

Wow great videos! Just call up your service advisor and send him the link to your videos on youtube and see what they have to say. It does not look right to me. Now I'm thinking how to get my camera mounted under there to get the same shots :stupid:.

2006-2007 GPS DVD Update - 1791 Hack Found

I'm curious as well. I have been holding off purchasing because I use the 1791 just about every time I get in. I'm not sure if it would be very pleasant to go without!Anyway, if someone got it to work I would get my order placed.

    Should I buy

I think you will love the LR3. I know I was bitten by the bug after I purchased mine a little more than a year ago. I would say three owners in under 46k miles would get my attention too. I know there is a good selection out there so take your time and get what you want. I would also be sure...

    Tire Advice

Houm_WA, That is great information and somewhat what I expected. I may need to reconsider what my options are. When I put the rod on the first few times I ran them as you have explained however the last few runs I just put it in extended and go with it. I also have had it high-centered and had...

    Tire Advice

I only put the modified rods on when I hit the trails. So with daily driving I would not have them on. Have you run the MTR's without the modified rods to see what kind of issues with rubbing exist?

    Tire Advice

I agree about the load range, 2,535 @ 50 (Kevlar) vs 3,415 @ 80 (regular) is significant. Especially since I tow a trailer too and like to load it down too. It could be a deal killer for me. Also I see in the specs that GY says the Kevlar is 32.2" and the regular tire is 32.1, go figure...

Wenches, who has 'em and which one did you go with?

Funny, I was thinking about adding those too. Do you know what they connect to under the bumper, i can't imagine that they take up too much room on the underside. :stupid:

Wenches, who has 'em and which one did you go with?

I initially thought that I did not want the Thimble sticking out there. Now I wish I had gone with it initially. I may get one spliced in, we'll see. I do think it would work great with this setup!

Wenches, who has 'em and which one did you go with?

I was going to post some 'action' shots but here are some before it hits the trails . I tried to get the mount flush with the bumper. As it is it sticks out about 1/8" on bottom and is behind the bumper about 1/8" on the top. I may bring it out a little more, we'll see.

Wenches, who has 'em and which one did you go with?

I got the Rasta Hidden Mount, Warn 9.5XP, Warn Wireless Remote, 3/8" Viking Winchline, Viking 350 large radius Hawse Fairlead, and Mantec front skid plate. My out of pocket cost was $2,166.00. However, I ordered the winch from amazon for $1,054.00 and used $600 in Amazon gift certificates that...

Wenches, who has 'em and which one did you go with?

I just finished the install of a Rasta hidden winch tray, Warn 9.5 XP, 3/8" viking winchline, and warn wireless remote. I took two evenings to install as I took my time, the fit and finish is awesome. You really don't see it unless you are looking. I had to bend the lever to control the spool...

    Trailers - For Camping/Expedition/Fun (w/ photos)

I have a Fleetwood E3 and love it. It is small enough to get around on the trails I take it on. It is by no means an "adventure trailer" but will easily take on those tough dirt roads. Most importantly for the wife and kids, it has shower and bathroom!

Rasta vs Mantec under bumper skid plate??

(This is my friend Mark's LR3 in the SCLR club. Mark did a good job on his setup. ) How does he like the winch inside the bumper? Is it hard to get at and actually use it? Maybe we can get a group discount on some custom tank skids??? Anyone??
