Alignment with Coopers...
humm, I was having some uneven wear on my front tires. I just had the local LR dealer do an alignment and then rotated the tires. They did not mention any issues with getting the work done and it seems better now, however still monitoring tire wear. -

Spare Tire ???

I have the coopers and the full size spare. In the spare wheel storage area there are several rubber bumpers that are about an inch or so in height. Brake replacement
I just did my brakes about a month ago and was also concerned about the wrenches that I had fitting. In my case the ones that I had worked just fine so no grinding was needed. It might be worthwhile to check yours first as your mileage may vary. It was pretty easy process overall. -
