What did you do to your LR3 today?

Absolutely breath taking and very inspiring!

    Turning rotors

I bought the entire rebuild kit from British Atlantic for about $400. None of the parts were "OEM", but I haven't noticed a difference yet @ 1200 miles.

    Fading Plastic

I've jumped on the Forever Black bandwagon! This stuff is as good as they say. I put 3 coats on today. Streaking is a problem, but I found if you take a dry terry cloth towel and buff the surface the streaks go away and leave the factory-like sheen. The color is nice and not greasy...

    On board air (cheap)

good job man! Told you it was worth it!

    On board air (cheap)

I did take the plastic guard off. It kind of helps to get the front (nearest the front of the LR3) bumpers off. The rear ones took a little more time. I had to hold the wrench on with one hand and turn the socket with the other. Last resort- you could just cut the rubber bumper off and take...

Nice to hear some good news.

Yeah, if you drive an LR4 :) It's nice to see LR get some good pub! Thanks for sharing. I still drive the 2005 SUV of the Year, no big deal...

    EPB squeak solution??

Yeah, I'm not sure why that would fix the squeal you're hearing. I mean I'm glad it's working for you, it's just not how the system was designed to work.

    EPB squeak solution??

I'm sure you've covered this before, but I'm too lazy to search your posts to find the answer. Have you done the EPB procedure and then bed them in? Here it is if you need it. Really helped me... http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/11748/D3_Brake.zip

    Disco voyager rack on LR3

I know where you can buy a pretty beat up LR3/4 exp rack for about $400. I like those voyager racks a lot. I'm sure you could adapt anything you want with the right skill...wait, I mean time and $$

    W T F is this?

Is your dog's gas hazardous or a bio-hazard?

    W T F is this?

Haha! I had just watched ghost hunters prior to responding and they featured a ghost radar...thought it was, um, an interesting piece of "science"

Just fixed (hopefully) a leaking sunroof...

You might could (is that southern enough?) get some quick weld or metal putty to patch the hole. Is there enough room to replace the defective piece with a spliced section of rubber tubing? Otherwise good luck and thanks for the wonderful pics. They will become a great resource for the forum.

Who has the swing away rear tire carrier?

Yeah, I contacted them to buy the one they show. They no longer carry the item due to lack of interest. I contacted the manufacturer who quoted me nearly $1300 shipped. That's when I decided to make my own. It looks fairly simple.

Who has the swing away rear tire carrier?

Would you care to post some detailed pictures of the apparatus? I'm looking to make my own an wanted to see how it connect to the frame through the bumper. Thank to anyone in advance!

    Fading Plastic

J.D, I bought the 16 oz bottle, because I wanted to test it-they do offer a 32 oz (that I'll buy after this runs out) bottle. A little goes a long way, but I used maybe .5 oz just to be sure everything got an even coat. I sprayed it directly to the cloth vs. the parts to keep the...

    Fading Plastic

Just an update. I recently purchased a poorboy's world product the claims to be a trim restorer. It goes on really easy, isn't greasy and does not attract dust. The best thing about it is it doesn't have a super high gloss, it just reconditions the trim. It's been on for about a month and...

Just fixed (hopefully) a leaking sunroof...

Dragan, I had some problems with mine about a year ago. Here is the thread that shows what I went through and did to fix it. Hope it helps. http://forums.landroverworld.org/showthread.php?t=14946

What lift do I want? Please help!

I didn't notice the rear tires as much as the front tires. I didn't modify my own, but bought the Johnson rods. Wonder if anyone has had this problem with his rods?

    On board air (cheap)

It wasn't hard and well worth it to gain the use of my hitch back. You will need a long 10mm box-end wrench and really strong hands or a pipe wrench. The bolt heads are on top of the frame, kind of a tight space. Use the box-ended 10mm to hold the bolt head while using your pipe wrench to...

What lift do I want? Please help!

I bought the Johnson Rods before I knew about the Sasquatches. I don't have a frame of reference for the other brand so it'd be unfair to comment, however, I believe the dude who makes them is on this forum. Send a PM to blackforestham. I think that's the guy who makes the sasquatch rods...

Just fixed (hopefully) a leaking sunroof...

I had this same problem. Mine were so clogged that during my test to see where the water was coming from, it began pouring from the seatbelt attachment points. My problem was that the rear drains were not only clogged, but pinched off at the exits. After cleaning and re-seating, I've not...

    On board air (cheap)

*Warning Thread Jack* I discovered today that if you take the 4 rubber bumpers from the spare compartment, the over-sized tires fits better. You still have to air it down, but you can at least use the hitch again.

    W T F is this?

Having a tough time seeing if this reply is for real due to my sarcasm font being inop at the moment. So what you're saying is, no one has the right to comment on a potential scam until they've fallen for it. That's a valid point. I chose to keep my hard earned $$ and invest it in KNOWN...

Does anyone still sell the swing away tire carrier?

Yeah, they emailed me back and said it'd be $1290 not including customs and duties... I like your suggestion. I can't imagine it being too hard to develop a jeep set-up for the LR3.

Does anyone still sell the swing away tire carrier?

Nope, never ran in to anyone by that name. I've been to Pope AFB (Ft. Bragg) more times than I care to remember though...
