I was checking out my battery area in LR3 2005 looking for Transmission ECU but discovered a detached hollow tube running from around the fusebox not connected to anything . Do you know what that is? Look at the attached pics. Is this how it's supposed to be or is it missing some connection...
Remember, the used cars from dealers with original batteries can cause immediate problems as they sit on lots for weeks without proper charge. I went through 4 used Land Rovers from different dealers showing the same faults. Couldn't have been a coincidence - Now that I think about it the cars...
64K on it. I just bought it last week. Underside is very clean. Previous owner drove it in city only. Its almost immaculate if you ask me. No rust etc. either.

Thanks. The poster there has different issues than mine, but I'll definitely look into that switch too and replace it if it needs it. Will report back. Still looking for the part replacement under the driver seat.
