re: rustprofing i have used "ISOFLEX HIGH PERFORMANCE LIQUID RUBBER " on my land rover this stuff also works well under the floor pans etc. -

Land rover 90 petrol running problems
after checking the ground and if the problem persists you may need to check the head gasket as you were saying the engine runs fine for a while then starts to miss fire this can happen if the head gasket has gone -

re: check engine light and indicator staying on does your defender have a place for diagnostic check if so take it to the garage and have them reset the check engine light/ is your engine running properly? you should also check all the relays and fuses on your defender. the indicator problem... -

the good news about the 2.5 petrol engine is that you can take it out and put the 3.5 rover v8 into the hole it leaves. but you can also drop the 2.5 turbo diesel from the 90 series into your 85. the petrol engine you have at the moment would be bad on fuel consumption about 12 to 20 miles to... -

can anybody tell me if there is a small turbo available for fitting onto a 2.286 series diesel, maybe 5 or 10 horsepower i have heard(this maybe an urban myth) that if you have the perkins diesel engine, you maybe be able to use the turbos from small dumpers etc which are fitted with perkins... -

re series 2a brakes just looking at my trusty haynes manual and this shows the brakes for a series 2a are twin springed front and rear. the only thing i can think of is that someone broke a spring at one time and never replaced with original. there are no diagrams with spring attached to... -
