    Rocky Mountain summertime trails.

My setup is Cooper Zeon's and the 2" senosr mod lift. That's it. Essentially, I am stock. I did the GD4 last year with Offroving and we did some pretty tough trails. I would say that, as long as you have some good tires on, you can run 5 and 6 rated trails with no issue. You just need a...

    Rocky Mountain summertime trails.

I would be down for a couple trails, but I am out in Boulder. I tend to stick with stuff rated a 4/5 and higher.

    Reliability

So I was just curious how the LR3 faired overall now that its out of production and I convinced my mother and father to buy one for their trips from Scottsdale to Durango. I took a look at Edmunds and was pleasantly surprised at what I saw. There was just about all green dots for all model...

Navigation Alititude stops at 9990 feet ??????

I have solved this issue by switching to km. It's a digits available issue. If you change to km and do the conversion, it works great.

    Who's running Cooper STT's???

Not durable? Campared to what, the old discos? Last I checked, those were some of the most unreliable vehicles on the market. I am sure there were plenty of "pit stops" for the vehicles used in the Camel Trophy for various major repairs. I feel like this argument spawns everytime a new Jeep...

Neil, do you have those pics?

FINALLY! Part of the Family !!!

RvDUB, I bought my truck from LR Flatirons and put the Coopers on almost immediately after buying the car. I talked to my Sales Guide and he bought the tires back from me at his cost and put them on the next CPO they prepped. I had the exact same tires that you have and they were brand new...

Neil, any update on how it worked. Pics?

    Compressor Protection, without sliders?

Though I would love to buy a set of RS Sliders, it isn't going to happen anytime soon. It seems that it would be possible to protect the compressor with a thick piece of metal being bolted to the frame (maybe slightly raised to give a little breathing room). Has anybody seen this anywhere? It...

    Moab Trail Ratings

In the end, I like Nathan's "just do it" attitude. Once you get that first scratch... what's another? Plus, it is always easy to justify an upgrade to the wife if the original is broken, right?

    Moab Trail Ratings

Yes, that could be a problem. But remember, Nathan's truck wasn't the airsprung version. So even with his lift kit, he was sitting lower than your stock offroad mode. With the rod mod, you'll be another 2" higher than offroad mode, which will help a lot with your approach and departure angles...

    Moab Trail Ratings

With the tires you just put on and a $150 rod mod, you'll be playing with a truck that can keep up with the big boys.

    Tire Pressure

Door open does nothing to stop the self leveling. I have been changing the rods out numerous times when the car "farts" and lowers. That'll scare you when your arm is wedged in the wheel well or your head is under the suspension arms... I'll have to second the jack stands. It's the only way...

My LR3 is in the body shop!!! #$%&

Just had my right rear door hit the other day in the parking garage... no note of course. Anyway, the paint job looks great on the new door, but they couldn't recreate the "rocky mountain pin stripes" that are on the rest of the car. I had a full exterior polish and detail done and it now...

    luxury ride goon

I thought I had a similar problem as well. Unfortunately, someone hit my car in my office garage and didn't leave a note, so I had to drive around in a rental SUV for a couple days until the bodywork was repaired. Amazingly enough, the ride feels much better now :) So, maybe try driving a POS...

Poor Fuel Economy related to Grass/Gravel/Snow?

I have found that even without GGS selected, there is a loss of fuel economy in the snow due to the extra rolling resistance, extra weight on the roof and decreased aerodynamics (ice hanging off bumper...).

    Positive visit to the dealer

I'll throw in a kudos as well. Paul Gifford at Land Rover Flatirons is an amazing service manager. He always goes the extra mile. I have never had a bad experience and he never short cuts anything.

same size. They probably just figured nobody driving a rover would need one...;)

What do you like/Disklike about your Roofrack??

I just put the factory bars on my roof to replace the expedition rack for the winter. I had the same whistling problem when I first put them on. You have to have the rubber gasket that runs the length of the bar installed as well as the two removable endcaps. If you do this, there should be...

    Would you buy another one?

I would definately buy another one. I would argue that this car is no more unreliable than a fully loaded bimmer, Mercedes or Lexus. The fact is that no matter what brand you buy, cutting edge technology has its bugs. The Lincolns, BMWs and Audis that we have owned have all had similar shop...

    Expedition Rack Tinkering

Can anyone tell me how to take the top section off of the expedition rack? I have seen one or two trucks with the upper section removed and it appears to be an interesting solution. I need to get a ski rack and Yakima box up there, but it doesn't work with the upper section attached. Also...

    Suspension???

Is it possible that the suspension sensors are getting wet inside and then freezing when getting cold? All the suspension issues that I have had are sensor related and I do a lot of driving in deep water... because it is awesome... That is the only thing that I think the cold could possibly...
