@roverman Thanks, but I've tried everywhere. There's a shortage of Nokians across the country, so a huge batch is being imported from Finland and should arrive by mid-December. Fingers crossed that is the case because trudging through snow/ice with all-terrain 285s has been pretty interesting. -

Completely stock. Though, I have toyed with the idea of removing just the rear mufflers for a slightly more aggressive growl. I know removing the center muffler makes a big difference, but I think I'd prefer a little more subtlety. Guess there's only one way to find out! ;) Sent from my iPhone... -
Change out differential and transfer case fluids
I'm looking forward to changing my LR4's t-case, front diff, and rear diff fluids during New Years weekend (35k miles). I'll report back with how the fluids look. Given that it's lived the majority of its life in L.A. traffic, I'm expecting them to be a bit dirty... I also plan to have my Rover... -

To be fair, the extra weight affects much more than just fuel economy and acceleration. The life of wheel bearings, bushings, air struts, etc. are diminished to some degree. So it all comes to whether the extra weight protecting the compressor is worth extra wear and tear on many items ($$$). -

@Perseus Thanks for posting that underside pic with your Voyager slider and compressor cover. I'm planning on going with the Voyager setup as well, and weight is one of my concerns. On the technical trails I intend to tackle, just being aware of where the compressor is located is enough... -

The black lacquer finish in my father's RRS is very pretty until you see the thousands of hairline scratches and smudges near the cupholders. I don’t know about you folks, but I love having to manhandle our tailgates and seats.
