    brake job cost?

I just did all four rotors and put new pads on myself. You'll need a good jack (would not recommend using the emergency scissor jack as they scare the hell out of me) and jack stands rated for the truck weight. If I remember right, you'll need a 19mm and a 15mm socket and a T50 torx head, all...

    Brake noise post-install

Strangely, they (EBC) say it's not needed: "Anti-sieze isn’t typically needed on the back of the pads as long as they have shims on them. Usually any noise that is present after installation, goes away after 500-1000 miles of use. Hence we don’t recommend diagnosing noise with new pads as it...

    Brake noise post-install

EBC got back to me - they don't start troubleshooting noise until 1,000 miles of break-in, then they have you start with carefully applying (or re-applying) the lube to the pistons and slots. I'll let it ride for another 900 miles and see how things go.

    Brake noise post-install

Having culled the collective wisdom of this forum, I put the slotted EBC rotors and yellow stuff pads on my 2011 LR4 last weekend. Break-in feels largely done (three days of around town and freeway miles) and modulation and power is great; seems to have less of an initial...

    Reverse light upgrade

Thread below on LED dome lights got me thinking about reverse lights. Is there a good upgrade out there that doesn't trip the computer or require major rewiring (simple bulb replacement would be ideal) and ups the output?

Safety Recall P050 - Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

older models, too? My 2011 threw those off and on for ~4-5 months, then they replaced all of the TMPS sensors. Still get it every blue moon... think that's related, or just squirrely British electrics acting up?

    Engine vibration fix

Posting this in the hope that it helps save someone else time and sanity trying to figure out the vibration issue. I came across this while looking for LR4 tire advice, and called the dealership in Denver to set up an appointment for them to see if the fix had been installed. It hadn't, and...

    Flickering Headlights

We're both crazy? I've seen it myself, sort of a corner-of-my-eye thing, but never anything I can isolate or prove. Seems to be more common at dusk.

Trailer Hitch Receiver from Atlantic British?

cheaper hitch receiver I bought the Atlantic British version, primarily for hitch-mounted bike racks rather than towing. It is rated lower in terms of towing weight than the LR hitch, and I'm noticing some flex in it when I move the bike rack around (nothing major, but it doesn't feel like the...
