Let us know how you like the Flex. I had my eye on it, but I cant part with my Porter Cable. I also picked up Collinites 845 sealant to apply before the winter. Have you tried the 845 before? -

I believe its called rail dust. It happens to new vechicles while in transport on car carriers. I was just reading an article about a product to spray on your vechicle to remove iron. Apparently, they took a vechicle that was just clayed and sprayed this stuff on it and iron was still present... -

Holy Crap!! He surprised me!!
Congrats and best of luck. I wasent really crazy about white (alaska), until I saw the Fuji white out on the street, beautiful. Such a different white than the alaska, very sporty looking. Can't wait to see the pics. Have a great weekend and Happy Mothers day. -

Steering Wheel Noise?
Update! I just picked up my LR4 after having the TSB completed and my vibration and noise is gone! Much better than before, and actually feels smoother across the RPM range. I'll give another update as I put more miles on it. -

How long does it take you to detail your LR4
Excellent read. I just recieved an order from them yesterday. What are you using on your vechicle? I just used Pinnacle Souveran on my Porsche this morning. Excellent stuff. Plan on using Klasse and P21s 100% carnuba on it when I detail it again. -

Ques. for those who tow
Just an FYI, I spoke to the dealer and they told me that it was ok for me to install the trailer electrionics (brake controller and harness). They said no damage could be done as the connector is not active until that activate the trailer programs. I'm going to install everything this weekend... -

How long does it take you to detail your LR4
I did put the sealant over the wax (synthetic). The product I used was designed to be used like this. It actually turned out really well. Usually you would apply the sealant and then the wax. That gives you the nice wet look. -

Thank you David. I havent took many pics of it yet and those are the only ones I have. I'm leaving for vacation at the end of the month and taking the LR4 with me. I should be able to get some nice pics while I'm away. It wasent much snow, but there was alot of ice. -

So True! My first detail took about 16 hours. Wash, clay bar, extremely light compound with a random orbital to remove light swirls from the dealer, 3 coats of polish, 3 coats of wax, and top coat of sealant. You can only apply 3 coats in a 24 hour period though. So it was over the coarse... -

Answer to question 1) I havent done it in the LR4 yet, but I did it on my porsche and used a telephone cord. Hard wired (soldered) it to the dome light. I cut one end off the cord. You only need to use the outer 2 wires (+ and -). The other end plugs into the V1 -

No auto relocking feature?
I have an '11 Lux and it does lock when driving away (@ 5mph). You have to go into the settings screen on the main display in the instrument cluster. In my manual, part of this is on page 61, Vechicle info and settings menu. Go into vechicle set-up and its in there -

20 inch wheels
This is very true! I just thought $2500 for 20" wheels was expensive. This is the reason why, if you get the 19's you can spend 2500 on a nicer package with better tires! Look on ebay for 20 inch Range rover wheels, then get a nice all terrian tire. For about the same price you'll have a set... -

Front license plate
I have the plate holder from my '11 LR4. I'm not going to use it, so if the dealer wont give it to you free of charge (which they should), I could ship you mine!
