    06 suspension no access

Do the lights indicate it trying to lower, and then going into extended when in offroad and trying to lower, so do you have no feedback from the switch at all? Do you have factory nav?

    06 suspension no access

Can you lower it with the switch from offroad to normal?

BG INJECTION,induction service engine fault codes

Yeah, it should feel pretty secure in the tube, and you can absolutely change just the o-ring, just need to get the right size, which I don't know off hand, but can check for you next time I'm at the shop.

    2005 LR3 suspension problem again

Generally if the fuse for the compressor blows, the compressor will need to be replaced, as it is going over-current, which should be regulated by the internal sensor if solely due to getting hot from a leak at the dryer.

    2007 LR3 Tail Light-Brake Light Bulb Replacement

As it gets colder outside, these get harder to remove. I usually just pull the screws, and have enough grip with my palm to pop it out(good amount of practice, I've removed well into triple digits of these), but when it is near freezing, the plastic securing holes hold onto the clips a lot...

What's the source of this sound?

I would check for play in your front wheel bearings first. Is it only under acceleration?

Ugh, New LCA's are just junk!!

I've used the Allmakes before. The fitment was not an issue for me, however I personally didn't not like the bushings that were installed. However, it is obviously a cheaper alternative to OEM, and there are times that that is all that matters to customers, even if they last half as long as OEM.

    Air Suspension Fault

As absurd as it sounds, a vehicle that is in need of major servicing, and maybe taking care of a few other complaints, can easily reach that kind of dollar amount. However, that does not mean that it really needs that much work preformed right now, or that it is all safety related. There is also...

    Hitch/Receiver keyhole plugged

Easier with the hitch off, but can be done in place.

BG INJECTION,induction service engine fault codes

Just to clarify, the codes were not there before the service, correct? Plugs can cause these faults, even without causing misfire faults. MOA is good stuff, I use it, not to blame in the least. Also worth checking the o rings on both the oil filler cap and the dipstick, no explanation as to...

    Hitch/Receiver keyhole plugged

You can purchase a new lock piece separate from the entire hitch. Last time I checked they were decently cheap, < $40. There is a roll pin that can be removed to allow the entire green handle to be pulled off when the lock cylinder gets to the point it will no longer work, or the keys are...

BG INJECTION,induction service engine fault codes

Plugs are recommended after the injection service, and incomplete combustion will cause lean codes on this engine. Also, if not done already, change the oil following these, as the chemicals are designed to 'eat' away oil and carbon, but that isn't causing your issue. There should be a slight...

Anyone know what these wires go to?

The two green connectors would be for the heated rear seat switches, if it were fitted. The orange connector would be the auxiliary power outlet. Not all vehicles were fitted with the provisions for the aux in, do you have a single disc cd player?

    Programing a LR3 Key Fob

If the key starts the vehicle, then it is programmed, same programming for the ignition and the remote. There are issues with the internals of the keys, and also with the wiring(splice) for the RF receiver power feed.

Fuel cap error -- anyone else had this before?

To fully test this system, specialized LR specific diagnostic equipment is needed(many off brand ones, not just the dealer stuff) But even if you go to the dealer for the diagnosis, ask them for a print out of three things for this fault. 1. A complete print out of faults, both related and...

Fuel cap error -- anyone else had this before?

Dealer or an indy shop that knows these vehicles. Other then that it is a complete guess at what part to replace. If the seal on the gas cap is torn, or it is not properly ratcheting, then replace it. Most common failure to throw a large EVAP leak(P0455) is the DMTL pump. Most common...

Fuel cap error -- anyone else had this before?

Usually not the gas cap. That message is there and designed to come up when an EVAP system leak check fails, as a precursor to turning on the MIL, just in case the gas cap has been left off/loose. There was a software update to essentially turn that message on on the earlier vehicles, due to...

    Advice needed: 06 LR3, 80k miles - extended warranty?

Extended warranties can very much be hit or miss. The small things(such as lug nuts) and any sort of wear or rubber items will not be covered. The fine print is where you need to really read. Some of them(Ford ESP is the best I've ever dealt with) are actually very good, and if you suffer from...

Car won't start. Pulled some codes

The P/N switch is built into the valve body. What do the PRND lights do(by the shifter, not on the dash)? Lit up correctly(indicator, not illumination) all the time; only when key on, not running; only when running; does it change with headlights switched on?

New to me 2008 LR3 HSE

Make sure they ordered a rain sensor too, as it does not come with the glass. Also, after it is swapped, as this is almost always done by a 3rd party, and not anyone at the dealership, make sure the exterior A-pillars are tight, and the lower windshield cowl is not warped up off the glass, as...

New to me 2008 LR3 HSE

The mirror is not what is needed, it is the entire windshield that is different. Does the lighting switch have a Auto position, do you have front fog lights, do you have halogen or HID headlights? Not all of these trucks had the lighting package that gives you the above features, and if yours...

New LR3 Owner working on mod and fluid change

Do not use 75-90 in the t-case, far too heavy of a fluid. I recommend the factory fluid in that, it's much more similar to ATF then it is to gear oil. For the diffs, a good quality 75-90(like RP) will work well. I believe RP does, but make sure there is a friction modifier in the fluid if it is...

    Tire Pressure Sensor Question

Batteries are internal, and not serviceable. There are special tools that can check them, but it will not be an absolute confirmation without the sensors being under pressure, as that portion of the sensor would not be checked, just its ability to transmit a signal. Most good tire shops should...

    Missing AC clutch

The compressor cannot be tested and work properly without that plate. It does not turn. There is no clutch on the compressor, which is a different design then most techs are used to seeing, so it is possible that it is fine and the person looking at it is used to the tradition design(used on...

    Missing AC clutch

There is a 'sheer plate' mounted to the front of the compressor that when the compressor fails, will break off, and can look like it is missing a clutch. This is there because the compressor is always spinning, so to prevent a big problem if it locks up(throwing the drive belt or worse) the...
