    2007 RRS transmission not shifting

What do your tires look like? Does this always happen, or only when the headlights are on?(including DRL if programmed on)

    Fuses

Be patient, it's a tight fit in there, but not bad, pretty straight forward. And yeah, the charging system on this can let the battery be down to, and even below 12V when running. Having extra loads turned on(radio, ac) should force it to raise the voltage a little, which will lower the current...

    Fuses

The only other thing on that fuse is the other power outlet in the console, if you have anything plugged in there, take it out before powering up the compressor. It's a 20A circuit, so you should be using a compressor that is rated below that, or 240W. Also, using it with the engine running...

Found vice grips on my coolant lines!!!

Does your cap sit inside the tube, or does the tube go inside it? Do you have the invoice with the P/N the installed?

Found vice grips on my coolant lines!!!

It's a completely different style. They might have changed the entire tube, that I don't believe comes with the new style cap. I edited my last post with the bulletin number, may have better luck searching for that.

Found vice grips on my coolant lines!!!

It is much larger in diameter, I'd say easy half inch, vs the same size as the tube. Looks almost like a funnel coming off the tube, and goes off at an angle, not just inline with the tube. Between not being able to link to another thread, and having a 19.5kb limit on PDFs, I'm not sure how I...

Found vice grips on my coolant lines!!!

Guess not... do a search for LR019450, you'll see what it looks like, and there is a UK based disco3 forum that has a very good walk through with pictures.

Don't know the rules on linking to another forum, but guess I'll find out... http://www.**************/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=23952

    Fuses

Yes, those will work, but do not use a higher rated fuse to keep it from blowing.

Found vice grips on my coolant lines!!!

    You are correct.

Found vice grips on my coolant lines!!!

Yes, take them off. Whoever replaced the coolant tank left them there. As to the brake lights, check your bulbs in the back, including the sockets they sit in. Usually a bad ground(the contact on the side of the socket) that shorts out the bulb.

2006 range rover sport hse driver seat mirrors not working

Yup, on US spec vehicles it is in the RH sill, along side a few other splice joints that are known to fail.

    Windshield Lower Cowl Replacement

Replacing the a-pillars is not always needed, but if nothing else, get a new hardware kit for the clips, and perform the bulletin to eliminate water leaks from them while they're off.

    Starter motor runs continuously

I have seen several fuel pumps go out, but that will not be an intermittent issue, it's good or bad. The three things I have seen a few times each are crank sensor, ignition capacitor, and as strange as it sounds, starter. Ignition capacitor and crank sensor will both cause no spark, capacitor...

    cleaning throttle body

The check engine light will come on whenever a condition that is less then optimal for emissions. But that doesn't mean that it has anything to do with emissions... How did you clean the throttle body? Procedure, not actual cleaning technique. You probably have a vacuum leak at the intake...

    where is this goes?

I wouldn't try. The cut off device is controlled by the CJB, and would connect main battery power when the hazard switch was pressed, while was more convenient then the earlier ones that the hood had to be popped, for people dealing with pre-delivery vehicles at least. However, most things were...

    LR3 Park Brake Fault

You need to have the fault codes pulled to see why the light came on in the first place, there have been several issues with corrosion on different parts of the wiring for the system. However, now that it did lock up, and drag, you may be looking at a pretty involved repair, depending on if any...

    where is this goes?

It goes no where, at least any more. From the factory, the vehicles were fitted with a battery cut off device to keep the batteries from discharging while in transport or sitting on a lot. It was electrically controlled, and that connector hooked up to it. They started adding a blanking...

    AC out....sort of

No, it's either a fault with the fan itself (or damaged wiring), or it's a software issue. Fault codes need to be pulled and go from there. A generic scanner may not give you what you need, as proper diagnosis of this requires the 6 digit P code, not just the 4.

    AC out....sort of

The high idle is normal, it does this because it is a variable displacement compressor, no clutch. The noise you're hearing is the fan being commanded to full lock. This could either a fault with the fan, a software issue, or normal based on what the current conditions are.

Keeping my '06, need some advice...

For maintenance, I would do, or have done, a injector and induction service, and then change the plugs, ignition capacitor, and PCV valve. Not that you need it by mileage, but usually a noticeable improvement after 75-90k miles. For fluids, my shop uses Motul 75w90 in front and rear...

    LR3 Help with Noise

A bad bearing can cause a vibration. Usually a precisely speed dependent vibration is in tire balance though.

    LR3 Help with Noise

Strange things can happen. If it was beginning to go, then yes, should have been caught, especially if the shop that checked it out knows Rovers, it's pretty common. But, one pot hole at just the right speed, and just the right angle can cause this (not to scare you with that) I would say...

No. The whole bottle needs to be changed, not just the sensor.

    LR3 Help with Noise

Your indy shop seems high(obviously the dealer does as well) unless that includes a new rotor as well. I wouldn't pay more then 2 hours labor (book time is a guide, not a mandate by any means) and no extra labor for the rotor, as it comes off during the hub replacement, only extra labor involved...
