Be patient, it's a tight fit in there, but not bad, pretty straight forward. And yeah, the charging system on this can let the battery be down to, and even below 12V when running. Having extra loads turned on(radio, ac) should force it to raise the voltage a little, which will lower the current... -

The only other thing on that fuse is the other power outlet in the console, if you have anything plugged in there, take it out before powering up the compressor. It's a 20A circuit, so you should be using a compressor that is rated below that, or 240W. Also, using it with the engine running... -

Does your cap sit inside the tube, or does the tube go inside it? Do you have the invoice with the P/N the installed? -

It's a completely different style. They might have changed the entire tube, that I don't believe comes with the new style cap. I edited my last post with the bulletin number, may have better luck searching for that. -

It is much larger in diameter, I'd say easy half inch, vs the same size as the tube. Looks almost like a funnel coming off the tube, and goes off at an angle, not just inline with the tube. Between not being able to link to another thread, and having a 19.5kb limit on PDFs, I'm not sure how I... -

Yes, take them off. Whoever replaced the coolant tank left them there. As to the brake lights, check your bulbs in the back, including the sockets they sit in. Usually a bad ground(the contact on the side of the socket) that shorts out the bulb. -

Windshield Lower Cowl Replacement
Replacing the a-pillars is not always needed, but if nothing else, get a new hardware kit for the clips, and perform the bulletin to eliminate water leaks from them while they're off. -

The check engine light will come on whenever a condition that is less then optimal for emissions. But that doesn't mean that it has anything to do with emissions... How did you clean the throttle body? Procedure, not actual cleaning technique. You probably have a vacuum leak at the intake... -

No, it's either a fault with the fan itself (or damaged wiring), or it's a software issue. Fault codes need to be pulled and go from there. A generic scanner may not give you what you need, as proper diagnosis of this requires the 6 digit P code, not just the 4. -

The high idle is normal, it does this because it is a variable displacement compressor, no clutch. The noise you're hearing is the fan being commanded to full lock. This could either a fault with the fan, a software issue, or normal based on what the current conditions are. -

Strange things can happen. If it was beginning to go, then yes, should have been caught, especially if the shop that checked it out knows Rovers, it's pretty common. But, one pot hole at just the right speed, and just the right angle can cause this (not to scare you with that) I would say... -

Your indy shop seems high(obviously the dealer does as well) unless that includes a new rotor as well. I wouldn't pay more then 2 hours labor (book time is a guide, not a mandate by any means) and no extra labor for the rotor, as it comes off during the hub replacement, only extra labor involved...
