Feedback on ET27 vs ET44 offset for 265/65R18

@wallyyfm how have you liked the Ridge Grapplers? Experience on and off road? Looking at those as well as KO2 as they are both available in LT / e-rated 275/65R18.

Feedback on ET27 vs ET44 offset for 265/65R18

They probably fit ok and look great under normal conditions, but for my purposes I wanted to give myself the best mobility (for that tire size at least) in case of EAS failure.

Feedback on ET27 vs ET44 offset for 265/65R18

EDIT - found some older threads and i feel good about the 44s, seems my impressions were correct on the 27s not being quite as good a fit, but wider as some people think that looks better. Just pulled the trigger on the order direct from Tuffant USA.

Feedback on ET27 vs ET44 offset for 265/65R18

Like the title says, I am looking for experience with these offsets to help me select which one I am going to order for my Tuffant Alloys. Mostly concerned with max clearance and minimal rubbing vs. "stance" / looks. I *think* the 44 is the best "fit" into the wheel well and the 27 is a newer...

Question for LR4 owners that switched to 18" wheels

Ok thanks. I think I feel comfortable on that tire size. Now I just need feedback on ET27 vs ET44 offset. I will call Tuffant as jlglr4 suggested, but also curious to hear y'alls experiences on which one would provide the least rubbing and give the most room if air suspension fails.

Question for LR4 owners that switched to 18" wheels

@RobRover88 i am looking at the new Tuffant alloys in smoked gray. I think they look a lot better than the Compos. Cost is comparable.

Question for LR4 owners that switched to 18" wheels

Thanks guys. All good suggestions. I am more concerned with still being able to move if air suspension fails more so than rubbing while turning. Would love to hear if anyone was able to drive on bump stops with 265/65r18. I would love to go to that tire size. But, SYA is a little further than I...

Question for LR4 owners that switched to 18" wheels

I also need to know that. Seems like the offset choice for Tuffant between ET27 and ET44 has mainly been mentioned regarding the 27 looking more aggressive (so i assume it sticks out further) but what I really need to know is which one allows (best?) mobility on bump stops with a 265/65R18...

The acronym for Volkswagen Audi Group (V A G) was censored, hehe. Agree that dieselgate was a real shame, I am also a big diesel fan.

    Would you buy this LR4?

I have come to this conclusion myself, knock on wood. I have a one owner 2011 (well, I am #2 as of a month ago) with 122k miles and it was serviced at LR dealerships since new. It has never had an issue outside of scheduled maintenance other than normal wear items like brakes and tires, until...

    Disable Eco start/stop action permanently

Maybe this is helpful… my wife drives a VW Atlas, and the way Atlas people disable stop/start is to use the equivalent to the GAP IID tool for VW (forget what it’s called) to change the minimum battery voltage for stop/start to be active to something way high like 16V. Works great on her Atlas...

    Gasoline to use

Yeah, what is up with the overly eager auto-censorship on this forum?! Can admins turn it off? It is hard to tell sometimes what is being said, although about 75% of the time you can tell contextually along with the number of characters.

Looking for a 19" off road tire.

Duratracs had a good rep for a while (been around a long time) but IMO they are now an outdated tire with much better alternatives widely available, including the Toyo OC AT3 (and before that, the AT2 which I have on my Ram 1500 and love), and the BFG KO2.

Click and “Puff” Noise on Engine Shutdown

My ram 1500 has a crazy amount of noises if I turn it off and stay inside. Its all the HVAC ducts closing up. Perhaps it may be something related to that? I have heard the hiss in the LR4 after shutting down and figured it was the air suspension leveling after my fat rear end got out of the...

    LR4 wheel care recommendations

I would try scrubbing with dish soap if you aren’t willing to use a “safe for all wheels” cleaner. But either way, get as clean as you can with a detergent and stiff nylon bristle brush, then try a clay bar to get the stuff that is stuck on, off. Just don’t drop the clay bar or you need to throw...

    Radio not working

No water marks or dampness and we have had a lot of rain the past couple days. I am taking it to North Texas British for a post purchase inspection next Thursday. Hoping it is just the battery. Also next week my cable will arrive for my Bovee so I can see if the stereo works using that.

    Radio not working

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster (and LR4 owner). I am having an issue where the radio doesn't work in my 2011 LR4 HSE. It appears that the stereo otherwise works, like with a bluetooth phone call. Maybe it is something to do with the antenna? The used car dealer / European...

Are all terrains really necessary for even mild offroading?

I think the takeaway is go for it if you want, but don't be that guy who isn't prepared at all to improve his own traction (traction boards), change his own tire (full size spare and jack, wheel chock, piece of wood to put under jack if you are on soft ground/gravel), and also have a recovery...
