Excellent video. Thanks for posting it. I noticed they showed both the SDV6 and SCV6 badge. I wasn't sure the SCV6 would be available in Europe; but looks like it is. I'm looking forward to a road test review for the MY2014 with the SCV6. I think only the diesels will be available in Great Britain. -

Good question. Now I'm on the fence. Was planning on the 2014 LR4....but was unsure of the SCV6 in such a heavy vehicle. But for the 'LR5’, if they change the styling big time or the off road capability (The 2 speed transfer box will be an option in 2014.....), I may be sorry about missing the... -

The articles I've read say that the LR4 won't get a frame makeover until at least MY2015. And I would take acceleration claims with a grain of salt......a very large grain. The marketing/pricing info for the 2014 LR4 has been released by LR. See Umbertob's post in a related forum at... -

My LR sales guy just emailed me the same document that Umberto gave us last week. The sales guy said they expect to order the MY2014's in the next thirty days; and then mentioned a March or April delivery. He also mentioned that they might have a factory demo before then. ....long time to wait.... -

The sales people at my LR dealer seems to have NO information for 2014. (I was able to tell them about the new engine/trans, etc.....). They do still have 2013's in transit to them, however. Thanks for the info Umbertob. That helps quite a bit with decision making for the MY2014. I'm also concerned about the SCV6 engine, and whether it will be up to the job. Also, I read elsewhere that the new LR4 will have the same headlamps as the RR; which are HID technology. The pdf mentions... -

Thanks for your input on the SCV8. I test drove a 2013 LR4 today. It was pretty responsive for acceleration. The dealer also had a 'test track', on which he took me over the usual climbs and descents. The only thing that unnerved me was a 36 degree lateral incline. The sales guy said they won't... -

I'm in the western US. I'm not thrilled about the auto start stop technology.....but I'm seeing an ECO button in the MY2014 photos. So if that makes it to the US, I'll be able to disable it. My impression is that the 8 speed trans is an advantage. But what are your reservations about the SCV6... -
