Richg, did you ever determine the cause for the 1st issue? I have a similar noise based on description. Rhythmic, with RPMs, disappears about 2K, but audible (very) at low RPMS.
Oddly, I had this happen while offroad two weeks ago on a tough trail with a full tank. Somehow gas was able to slosh/reverberate up the fill tube. Went away after getting off the trail but stunk up the interior and was pretty noticeable.
I use a tender but it is hard wired to the battery. I would avoid the 12v socket, I don't know enough about how the ECU controls it but it is disconnected from power a few seconds after the ignition is off.
You could just buy the hi-lift wheel lift and some pieces of wood. No kidding. But the hi lift is too unsteady on sliders and I would never use it there as the dynamics change too much as you lift on a sliding surface. Rear or front bumper if you can make sure it is parked (i.e. in the Kaymar...
The dealer can run a recalibration of the suspension. My bet is they did not do this during the delivery prep.
I've done this recently as I had a similar issue with the driver's front wheel height sensor acting up.
Does anyone know if the cameras have a removable lens or cover? My pass front camera lens or cover has a crack in it likely from debris. Camera still functions albeit with a blurred image.
I have an LR4 HSE, so 7 seats. I rarely if ever use the 3rd row right now (3 young kids in the 2nd row). This sliding floor pops out and can be stored anywhere, no tools needed to access the seats.
It is pretty easy to take out and put in, just slides in and out.
Reason for selling is I want to lighten the truck up a bit. With all of the off-road stuff now on it, and fully loaded, I find it a bit heavy to drive the trails I use. I don't use it that much these days so it is superfluous...
Had the same issue except the glass company completely trashed my rear 3rd row shade when replacing the headliner after replacing the roof panel. Be very vigilant if someone has the roof replaced. I didn't really notice until months after.
Has anyone with the Kaymar had to re-shim theirs? I noticed the other day a considerable difference in how level my bumper is, lower on the spare tire swing arm side than I remember. I'm going to take it apart this weekend and attempt to re shim. Has anyone else experienced this? No damage to...
"maybe". I'm skeptical. Was talking with my dealer service rep who I've known for 20 years, he said the new Disco replacement is fully rounded and no longer boxy. I'm afraid the Defender will be that way too. Might as well buy an explorer...
I want to see the Tactical bumper on someone's LR4 before going all the way. If anyone has one on order, please post up. I am serious. I like the Kaymar but the terrain where I live is not going to allow it to survive long.
Thanks Jwest, you are right. I posted without going back far enough. Usually I read the 1st page and last... Sums up my academic experience.
It's for the Lr4 so I need to figure out the recoding. I have an aux odyssey battery and it was able to fully jump the dead factory battery. I use a...
I'll sell you my Kaymar and buy one... I'm in Portsmouth.
Necessity is definitely there. I have found the Kaymar great but given the VT trail conditions, I need some additional skid or under carriage protection that is doesn't offer where the spare would go.
Funny, my 3 year old bat the other day was dead. Got in the truck after letting it sit for a week in the garage and only the blinkers worked... I jumped it from the aux battery (I was in a hurry), but another good reason to install a quality aux. The dealer tested it this week and said all was...
