Ford ESP Warranty now available for all LR3s still under warranty

I just got off the phone with my local LR dealership. Here are the prices he quoted on my '05 LR3 with 35.7k miles (he did say there is a price line at 36k miles...he said it before i told him what my mileage is): Additional yrs / miles 2 / 24k - $1600 3 / 36k - $2200 4 / 48k - $2800...

    New to LR

You are right, LR (and Jaguar, i believe) was sold to the Indian company, Tata. I wouldn't really expect too many changes in terms of LR production, though. They are primarily interested in learning how LRs are produced, so they can make their own quality cars and SUVs. They have a huge rise...

    Rear Seat DVD System

based on the site (and if i converted mm right) I'm showing the headrests are roughly 11 x 8.5 x 5.5 inches. I'm guessing the 11 is the width (door to door) and 8.5 is the height. I'm real interested to see how it fits. Good luck and post some pics when you get a chance!

    Anyone have a nice rack??

Kudos to mustbeaudi...that's the best kind of sarcasm! Actually, the post works much better with the link...i was reading it and thinking, what the...

Ford ESP Warranty now available for all LR3s still under warranty

Guys, i'm definitely interested...i've got an '05 that went into service at the end of '04, so I'm about to lose my warranty in two weeks. I would want to see the contract too, but please consider including me if it will help strike the deal. How does this work in terms of payment? Do we...

    Anyone have a nice rack??

Well, darn, I was hoping to find some posts with some nice pics here. Actually, my friend has the expedition rack. It looks like this one on I found on eBay. He especially likes the eye-bolt/tie downs that be moved along the rails to where you need them and he stuffs some tarps and...

    Rear Seat DVD System

That's a shame! I was hoping to to hear how it went so I could make a decision in time for a Christmas surprise gift. Unfortunately the same place never returned my email and I keep forgetting to call during business hours to see if they will give me dimensions. I like the idea of iTouch...

    Rear Seat DVD System

gtc, this looks like a pretty nice setup. My biggest concern is what to do about those headrest handles. You mentioned that you had replaced some on another rover? How big were the screens? I'm just (probably over-) thinking that the replacement headrests are going to be so wide that they...

    What's in your garage?

I've actually found a few GTVs and Spiders on eBay and craigslist...the GTVs always seem to be in a state of needing a lot of attention. With the Spiders, you can find some drive-ready and some that can be a great project car. I loved driving my Spider. I still can't figure out how I ended...

Finally, a Rover forum that is active

I was wondering what was going on. I'm using the Chrome browser and thought maybe that had something to do with it. Thanks!

Finally, a Rover forum that is active

I have been a Rover owner for about six years and was somewhat involved with them before that when a friend of mine got into them several years prior. I have visited several discussion forums, but all seem to have only so-so participation. I can't say that I am always active myself...usually...

    Rear Seat DVD System

I would actually prefer headrest displays for the same reason, but i wasn't sure that it would be easy to find some that fit right with our headrest handles. Which system are you getting, it sounds like it has most if not all of the features I am looking for. We have a second kid on the way...

    What's in your garage?

Just joined, but thought I would add mine.. My daily driver: '00 BMW 540i 6-speed Wife's car: '05 LR3 My daily driver (10 yrs ago) and now dead-in-the-garage-project car: '88 Alfa Romeo Spider Our first LR was a '00 D2. I never liked the style of it (for me) but I gotta say I was hooked...

2005 LR3, not getting very warm

Being in Texas, it is rare we even get that cold, but have you checked your coolant lately? Check for water/coolant ratio and check level. If it is low, look for signs of a leak and look at your oil too and make sure it isn't milky...indicating a coolant leak into the block. If coolant and...

Do you carry a weapon in your truck?

Usually carry my Ruger .40 on trips, but not regularly because I don't want the kids to get to it. If i make it secure for them, it becomes inconvenient for me. I figure if I would really need it, I won't be able to afford the inconvenience and I'm not willing to play the odds of kids finding...

    D Pillar Speaker wiring - '06 SE?

I pulled mine last year and, as nwoods said, everything just pulls apart. Use an upholstery tool if you can. I found that a flat head screw driver is too thin (surface wise) and tends to bite into the plastic as it lifts it. Also, watch the inside of the panels as some of the edges are...

    Aluminum Interior upgrade

I really like the vent bezels. How close do these match to the speedo bezels, horn buttons on the steering wheel and the gear shift knob? If I were to get these, I know the wife and all her "analness" would be looking at this.

    Rear Seat DVD System

I was thinking about doing this too. I have been looking at aftermarket products, which range quite a bit in price, but I would like to integrate the system as much as I can with the LR systems. Has anyone done this before? Any part numbers for the "entertainment system" controllers?

Please assist a prospective LR3 owner.

+1 on the Radian seats. We have a Radian80...I think the only reason we didn't get the Radian65 was because the wife liked a specific color combo. :adore: "yes dear" I can put both the center and other side down without having to force anything. Now that we got a second on the way, we know...
