Aside from this, I can't find much on the issue. There must be a way to disassemble and clean / lube, but to be sure no parts will be available.

There is a garage in Dallas that has a used one for sale, that would be your cheapest option. I've got a brand new in the LR crate one. They are expensive.
Dropped a line to my transmission guy to see what he thinks.
Can you post some more pictures, to get a little perspective it doesn't look familiar.
There are some wires you need to relocate to be sure the tires don't tear them up.
Did you have mud flaps on it at some point, maybe that's what that is... ?
Here's a link worth a look as well...
Aside from more noise or a saucier note, was there a benefit, performance, mileage, etc.? Any other details about either option that would be interesting?
Have you put a multimeter on the battery and checked the voltage?
I wonder of something else was disturbed when you changed the battery.
The other issue / concern would be a glitch in the system, due to the power failure. It might need to be reflashed. There was also some updates, so if you...
You'll want Bodsy's brake bible. There are shoes inside the rear discs. They can be a bear.

haha... Rattles in 2nd row sets have always been annoying. It sounds like maybe the seat isn't locked in all the way or something. As suggested, maybe fold it flat, inspect under it, then use the front strap to release it, lower it, and then release it and snap it back into place, and see if it...
The farting is a air duct valve, and all you need to do is tell your shop/dealer it was farting, and that you want a new part, not the lubrication per the TSB. It will require tearing apart half the dash to change out, so it won't be cheap, but the part is inexpensive.
On the other, it would...
Put a glass of water in the cup holder, and you should be able to see the vibrations if it is drive line or bearing related there will be oscillation, if it's a "noise" that you can hear, it might not necessarily translate to a vibration/oscillation. The most likely culprits are wheel bearings...
When you install the new un-warped cowl, put a bead of clear rtv silicone in that section that warps. It should slow down the warping, and stretch with the warp to prevent the water issue. It would probably also work for a warped one, but you'll have to stand there and hold it or wedge something...
It is also worth checking the cowl, the black plastic thing that the wiper motors go through. On the passenger side they all warp, and water can come in through the cabin air filter. Check the cabin air filter for water / wet. You can do this yourself. Drop me a PM with your e-mail and I'll send...
I just so hate to see the money go to China if it can be avoided, I'll stick with Timken, and USA, where we are still free, and you can still breath the air, for now.
I have no trouble ordering for AU, EU, CA, and many other countries, just sayin'
Speaking of last sounds... has anyone figured...
food for thought
I've been a bit put off with people selling 30-40 copies of "dealer copies" of the newer map software, definitely not legit. Especially considering I have ordered two updates directly from the company, over 200 each.
The down side, they have the same navigation errors...
The injection service is a worthwhile endeavor for high mileage LR3's. The valves get carbon on them and don't close all the way.
I can't say there was much if any noticeable difference, but I am glad I did it.
The best thing for the LR3, is the rare opportunity to put non-ethanol gas in...
I've got an ever growing list of spares / part numbers, as well as a contact over there that sells Land Rover parts. Drop me a line if you want, so I can e-mail you. Don't forget the suspension, Dampers, etc. Big project, should be fun.
It seems so very strange that similarly equipped vehicles (accessories, tires, etc) should get so radically different mileage. It would really be interesting to put two of these folks together and go through the vehicles electronics, software settings, exhaust analysis, etc. to determine why...
