It's on the outside of the transmission where the shift linkage connects. It is metal, and therefore corrodes. It's easy enough to inspect it, and see how it looks.
The most common issue is the shift lever, and spring assembly on the tranny. There is a corrosion issue. The common cure is to replace the parts..

Here is a nice group of sound identification videos that include a few you haven't mentioned, hopefully it will help. http://www.youtube.com/user/jjvd21/videos
I have the same problem with the passenger (2nd row) seat lights. There is something wrong with it. The unit will probably have to be replaced in my case. It could also be a wiring issue. If you have done the switch trick, and they turn on manually, but not automatically, then it's probably the...
Do they still offer only forum support and no service except their island? Are they more reliable than previous bbs offerings? What are the capabilities of the unit?
What's wrong with your instrument cluster, why are you sending it in for repair, and to whom are you sending it. This is an odd enough request, it would be nice to have some information.

Were the rods just fitted? If there are issues with heights being off, different (mixed) tires, or height calibration it could trigger it.
When does it happen? When braking, or stop and go traffic? When Moving? I'd start with the brake light switch and also check / test the battery.
Just and FYI, I ordered a key from an outfit in CA. Another fellow locally also ordered one. He got his cut, and determined that it would not be programmable. I contacted the company and arranged to ship the key back, which I did. Months later, I still had not received a refund, I contacted...
The fluid should be changed every 30k miles. Several issues are often misdiagnosed as diff problems, while you cannot fully discount the diffs either, as they do fail. If you think you have diff problems, it's good to have the wheel bearings checked, all the way around, the suspension bushes...
