Fluctuating RPM's at constant throttle (throttle hunting, surging, gear hunting)

Do to the fact the transmission operation is somewhat temperature depending, it makes sense that there are internal transmission problems or Torque converter issues, though torque converter issues are fairly rare on the Gas engines. On the TDV6 it is common, although they use the same...

    '05 LR3 Key Fob issue

I suspect some issue with a worn out key. You can order just the key part from the dealer, and a cheap replacement FOB housing, and a battery on amazon and assemble it all.. I suspect I'm getting to a similar point, where once in a while I can't get the key out, so either the actual column lock...

LR3 Throttle actuator control codes after driving in desert

Clean Throttle Body, add BG44K or techron additive and drive it, see if this clears it up. It would not hurt to have a BG Fuel Air Induction service done if you have never done it.

    Headliner cleaning?

I'll be interested to hear, I've been using a pet lint roller, at least to get the dog hair off. The material is pretty thin, so it seems easily separated.

    Weird NAV system behavior

It sounds like you have an intermittent connection. Perhaps start at the rear of the unit and check all connections.

My private LR mechanic wants to move to synthetic oil. Shall I?

I've been running Royal Purple synthetics for over three years, I am quite satisfied with the performance. That said, the 7500 mile range for changes is a good range, per others comments. Never too late to switch Paula.

    Locking Diff question PLEASE

The rear locker has a clutch pack. To that end it is able to do variable locking from 0 to full lock depending on, and controlled by the ECU's. This is accomplished with the e-diff locking motor. You can find some pictures of the clutch pack and other bits in my gallery. http:// www. disco3...

Good cleaner for leather on seats and doors?

So I tried the Lexol as recommended. It did a fairly good job. It kind of left the seats with a dull black looking finish. I think that can be buffed out, but I just left it. I gave it two treatments. I did a decent job removing the dog drool. I don't think you need the brush as previously...

    Blinding splash issue

Splash Issue Videos.. Maybe these will help figure out a way to cross standing water at speed. Normal Use http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m27DMu36jTI In this video you can see the water push forward and out. Perhaps a deflector could be fabricated to direct the water where you want it. As soon...

    How To Jump

It sounds like you have a bad compressor, wiring or relay. If the compressor does not run, then you are not going to get it to run. You might be able to install an air connector on the air tank and air it up short term. There are other methods which will take longer to add an emergency air up...
