That's useful info. The original side protection step tubes I bought were absolute crap, tin can thin, same as the brush bar. What's hilarious is I say one listed on CL the other day advertised as a "bull bar" -- I went through two of them before I finally pulled off the last one and left it at...
Those things aren't worth a crap if you ever plan on going off road. Go with the sliders with rails personally, you can't go wrong with them.
This is something a bit in between, but won't be broken easily. Yes it is more money.. but you will only have to buy once...
I think for the inside track you would almost need to have a subscription on topix. Most people would just hit the usual list of forums and search when something comes up.
It does not seem like it would make a huge difference. Obviously the lower vehicle is going to be better on the drive train, and mileage to be lower, but the benefit may not justify the work. You didn't say where you are coming from, but I would suggest avoiding the wind tunnel they call...
I wouldn't say it is a particularly worthwhile link, having read through 9 pages of posts of other people who have the same issue, with no conclusion other than to replace the sun roof. This project has been on my radar for a while, to manufacture repair parts so you do not have to buy an...
It would be useful to know exactly what he did.
It sounds like some of the lines are not hooked up right or backwards.
It is hard to say exactly what is wrong, it sounds like it might become apparent when you look at it. If you need docs drop me a pm.
My opinion, and that of most other folks here is that if you are not going to the dealer, or handy doing stuff yourself, you will come out money ahead short of a major failure, ie: engine, transmission, transfer case. Still if you budget the same amount a year, you will have the funds for...
First thing is to check the controls on the main console. The unit can be set to disabled, slave or independent operation on the rear switch.
Next would be to check the fuses, and so on. Does the blower motor run at all in the boot, and so on.
The vehicle has probably triggered some theft deterrent. Seeing as this scenario is most likely to happen at a dealership, I would give them a call and ask them if they can, or how to disable or reset it.
Most certainly you will not find that on the forums, as car thieves would love to have...
Sounds like the most likely culprit would be the tires.
Did you also change the relay when you did the compressor?
My experience has been is that what you describe is how the vehicle is supposed to feel.
The ads on this web site are making my computer crash. can you stuff a few more in there.
It looks like you hit a rock. This is why I got away from the Goodyears that came on the LR and with with Nitto. I always get road hazard when buying tires.
No-- order your key from http://landrovermerriamparts.com/
It comes from the factory with the secret programming. The shortcuts don't work.. It also will need to be paired to the vehicle at a dealer or an independent with an Autologix or some third party systems out there..
If you simply...
The first thing to check into is the shift lever on the transmission. It could be rusty, that was an early issue.
I can't say for sure if this is the problem, but it is a start point.
Shift Components (for vehicles with Auto Transmission);
LR012704 - Lever...
I know this is an old thread... If you want a decent hitch, I've got a class IV one coming out soon, drop me a PM with your e-mail address, and that problem will be solved once and for all. The limits will be the vehicle rating for towing.
It probably needs to get connected to an Autologix at a dealer or independent to see what's going on. I would assume that the Pep Boys one has a warranty if one is bad.
Yup, pm therealassmikeg He works at a dealership and is a crack LR mechanic. Or call and ask for Mike G
I believe this is the dealership.

The difference is the old one was a plastic "hat" fixed to the vent tube, which is hard plastic. I was plugging, which will cause pressure and seals to blow out. The new one is a different shape, and venting strategy.
The install is very simple, cut at 45 degree angle, slip the new one over...
Just a follow up on this-- I've used the sport slotted rotors and green stuff with great success in the past. I thought I would get slick and try yellow stuff. It's definitely taking metal off the rotors, so I would not recommend the yeller stuff. So I guess I will get a do over.
