Updated Ok so cleaned the brakes and still getting squeal. Could it be that the pins and springs are soo worn out that they are not pushing the pads from the rotors enuff? This is killing me -

Ouch! How can you not!?!?!?! I was suprised that I only found 6 (unless I missed some!). I can remember on an old Land Cruiser I had there were at least 10 if I remember correctly. Not a good idea to skimp on that part -

That sounds bad, no wonder you thought it wouldnt make it. 700 doesnt sound too horrible with 64k on it, I would'nt be too weary. I greased everything up the other day and it seams to be gone for now alltho I havent tried hard to make it happen again. I'll keep my fingers crossed for my trip. -

Sorry to dig this one back up. Brake job finally done. New EBC rotors and pads. My ears are still ringing abit from hammering the old rotors off. Since the change and a little break in time I am getting a squeal from the passenger front brakes. It doesnt happen at quicker speeds... -

hahaha! I change all my fluids minus the transmission. I have totally spaced on greasing them lately. It has been at least 6 months. That did cross my mind the other day. -

So I have noticed that when I slam on the gas from a dead stop there is a clunk sound from the driver side(ish). It sounds like it is comming from the steering area, maybe a worn rod or something? When I start out slow there is no clunk. I have done some searches on this but I cant tell... -

Nice one, Thanx When you say hit the back of the rotor you mean the side where the 5 bolts attach right? Then hit the outside of the rotor or the inside? -

Have an issue here. I am doing an upgrade on my front brakes to EBC pads and rotors. I got the whole system apart including bolts but cant get the rotor seperated from the hub. I have the RAVE cd and a Haynes manual and both dont seem to be of any help as to how to seperate this thing... -

So I was looking at the exhaust the other day and noticed that there is a unnatural bend in it by the muffler restricting flow. Must have gotten bashed. My question is ... If I cut off the muffler, do I need to keep it away from the back tire to keep it from heating up the tire? I will need... -

I was wondering.... To anyone out there running BFG's on their daily drivers. What Pressure are you at front and back? The reason I ask is because on the tire it says up to 80lbs! this seems abit high to me. I currently am at 40lbs on 245s and they look abit low. N8 -
