Got my exhaust installed today. Sounds pretty sweet. Idle is a little loud, it's not tooooo bad and when you're cruising along it's real quiet until you step on it and it just roars like mad. I don't think the cops are going to be worrying about it... if I have to I can put it into neutral at...
That seems like a lot for an engine. Jeez you could buy an entire Discovery for $6000. If I were going to replace the engine, I'd probably want to learn how to do it myself and pocket that 2 grand.
On the Rave cd it talks about needing a piston clamp tool to push the caliper pistons back. I haven't heard any mention of this before. I'm planning on changing my brakes out at the end of the month, so I'm just wondering if this piston clamp tool is a requirement or if you can get away without...
Thanks Joey. Ordered it today actually. Messed up and paid twice for it on accident though lol. Hopefully this will take care of some of that wheel wobble on my car.
I think all the disco 1's in the US have these little lights. They only come on when you click the light switch once. You can't really see them unless it's dark, and when the headlights are on it covers them up.

PS A 96 steering damper fits a 97 disco...
It's a Disco 1. There are small 194 lights in the headlamp if you look closely. I didn't even know they were there til just now. They are pretty subtle. I wanted to put blue blinkers in but I decided that was over the top and asking for a ticket, so I might just go with some "subtle" all reds...
Basically you need to know how to do everything yourself mechanically because mechanics will charge you an arm and a leg to do even simple stuff like changing the brakes. I've found working on my Disco to be fun and challenging and I've learned a lot in the process and saved a bundle. That's...
Wow that's low mileage. Should be fine... I've heard the airbag suspension goes out after a while though... other than that it should be good, I don't know... do a carfax.
My Disco looks so wicked. Here's an easy customization tip for all of you out there: Get some LED 194 bulbs and replace the stock 194 bulbs in your headlights. I put a pair of blue LEDs in the headlights and when the parking lights are on the entire headlight just glows an evil blue. My car...
