    Coolant Temps - 5.0

Don't get me wrong... I was watching the temps with a close eye. I'm scared too. I'm more scared of my wife yelling at me trying to blast the heater in +115*F temps wheeling out in the desert trying to cool down the motor.

Yeah, I feel like others are stepping up and in to fill the LR4 market.

Adding Pentofrost SF to OEM LR Coolant?

Hmm... that's a good question about topping off with other brands of OAT coolants with different colors. If it was me, I'd put on my shoes and get oem. I wouldn't want to question the cooling system doing it's job over driving 30 mins away to get the right stuff. I had my share of cooling...

Adding Pentofrost SF to OEM LR Coolant?

While you're at it, this would be a perfect time to switch to dexcool. Dexcool is abundant EVERYWHERE and can find it at any remote gas station. You can probably find some Jeep guys carrying some out on the trails too. Just saying... I swapped mine out 5 years ago and I'm more than happy with...

    2015 LR4 SCV6 Gas Mileage

I really dislike these mpg questions, because it reminds me of how chitty mine is. I always fill up to the top, reset my trip odometer, and calculate my mpgs with this formula (miles driven / gallons filled). I'm running a FRO roof rack, Terrafirma tire carrier, skid plates, rock sliders...

    Coolant Temps - 5.0

I wouldn't be worried about it. In high temps in Death Valley, CA around +115*F, I typically see coolant temp on my Gap IID Tool around 210-215*F at the engine and 185-200*F before the thermostat while blasting the AC.

Exhaust manifold removal - Torx Size?

Yup, tedious work but manageable. I took it a step further and retapped all the holes. I should have replaced those oem exhaust manifold bolts with something else since 2 of them were missing the hex head.

Exhaust manifold removal - Torx Size?

It's not a special torx size as I recall. I had the socket size in my Harbor Freight Torx set. Are you removing the heads to get to your exhaust manifolds? If so, good luck! I've done it and it's tedious just to replace my exhaust manifold gaskets. I also found broken bolts, so have some extra...

Low Battery Warning while camping overnight....

In unobstructed open areas, the key fob has some range. Just a fair warning... when using a faraday bag or box, just make sure it's on you vs inside the truck. If someone accidentally locks the truck with a push of a button on the handle, you'll be busting a window open. I have this one...

Low Battery Warning while camping overnight....

I've dealt with a LOT of battery issues. The truck goes to sleep after a few minutes even with doors open. It only goes into deep sleep with the truck locked. When in sleep mode and not locked, it'll try to communicate with the key fob waiting in listening mode. I actually use a faraday key...

Low Battery Warning while camping overnight....

Only when camping do I leave them off by default throughout the trip. Easy enough to momentarily tap the lights on/off when needed. After the trip, I reactivate them full time. I switched to leds, I can't imagine the draw on incandescent lights. I can, but that's why I switched to leds.

Low Battery Warning while camping overnight....

Turn off/on the interior lights by holding the center button for 5-10 seconds and a message will appear in the dashboard.

Suspension failure warning- won’t raise out of access height

I would first try to jack up the front with a floor jack to "normal" looking height, roughly 2". You can jack it up from the front crossmember for both tires to go up at the same time. Then start the truck. If you're lucky, it'll automatically raise. This just means that the height sensors were...

Side Steps Nerf Bars Running Boards

If you want a set like the one you first posted brand new in box, I have a set made for the LR3 and it'll fit the LR4. I don't quite remember what material it's made out of, but I can take some pics of it.

Trailer programming with GAP IID tool

Darn, I would have picked one up too. I haven't towed in a while either. That was my alternative to adding an ohm resistor between the 2 leads. Here's the post on it, https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/trailer-light-question.28411/post-204232.

Trailer programming with GAP IID tool

Technically, you don't need any of it for it to work. The trailer assist was a fancy option that helps stabilize the trailer without weight distribution bars and with the help of trailer stickers the camera system helps guide backing up. I enabled everything as well and it does trigger a trailer...

Normal Ride Height Only - Cant Figure it out

I would look at the 4x4 info screen to see if any of the height sensors are blinking red, that's an early indicator to view a bad or out-of-range height sensor. Do you have a Gap IID Tool or Autel AP200? If you do, try to recalibrate your suspension on flat ground, as leveled as possible. This...

Recommended Indy shop in San Diego

I've been to both of these shops... but didn't quite do any work with either of them. I do most of my own work. Super knowledgeable guys and honest. I came here to have them take a look at my charging issues and instead I had an hour long chat with the master mechanic telling me that I was on...

'11 LR4 lower contol arm drama...

LCA noise comes from worn out bad bushings. Those orange poly bushings will not flex much. So, whatever noise you're hearing is not the LCAs.

    LCA Skid Plates

I should have bought them back in the days when Prospeed was making cool stuff. They were a tad pricey, but they were the only ones who made them. No longer available... Maybe someone can make something similar.

    V8 short drive belt replacement

I've done this on my '11 and another '12 LR4 5.0 V8. If you really want a tool, Lisle 59370 looks promising.

    V8 short drive belt replacement

What I've done in several instances was to remove the 3 bolts on the small pulley, wrap the new belt around both pulley, and angle the smaller pulley back into place. It's a bit tricky with the new belt, but doable without any special tool.
