Duly noted but mark me down as someone who is in the dont trust the funky setup camp. I'm a somewhat prolific tower so I'd take the frame hitch, which I'd confidently use ALOT more than a little extra clearance off road on rare occasion. -

I saw at least 2 Lr4s with after market class iii frame hitches when I was looking. I'm sorry but I didn't pay attention to the brands but it seemed that the spare was still in place. -

When I was looking at LR4s I saw a few that had aftermarket frame hitches. I guess they decided that it wasn't worth it to trust that funky receiver set up. 10% of total weight would be high for a properly situated boat/trailer combo. My 21' boat weights in at around 4500lbs on a tandem... -

Turns out this is the the first one rolling around in our metro area. So we're real exclusive...at least for awhile. :) People are starting to line up though. When I have a bit more time I'll post up my impressions. -

We made the deal and picked it up last night. We got the HSE Lux with 20" black wheels and black contrast roof with the Windsor tan interior. It has the vision assist, driver assisit, Incontrol apps, Incontrol remote and protect and a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting. Its pretty much loaded... -

Thanks sir! I do like it alot. Its beats the crap out of any of our past SUVs in the looks and luxury departments. It does retain more off road capability than others in its class. Its got some nice features and its much more modern than LRs have been. For all you get, its a high end bargain... -

Change is tough. I LOOOVE the LR4 but the new big Discovery is growing on me. Im sure it will look very close to the concept. In the end it will have more mass appeal. CD/DVD player?
The one I saw that plays DVDs on the main screen did not have rear DVDs screens. Wow, with all the research I've done so far I can't believe this is the first I've heard of it. No one (dealerships) really seems to know that much about the vehicles they are selling. I have yet to run into anyone... -

Non-LR4 Land Rover OEM wheel options
Yeah, the Fully Custom claim is pretty laughable...and the price is even funnier....but I thought the wheel, tire combo looked good if nothing else. I know NOTHING about those wheels.
