LR3 4.4 V8 vs LR4 5.0 V8 reliability?
Mine has 128k on it and we haven't had any issues with it. I was looking into a LR4 but wasn't sure on the reliability of the 5.0 engine. Maybe I'll just do the "turtle removal" exhaust mod to give mine some more growl. Probably won't give it any more power but it will sound better.:DI went... -

How common are supercharger problems on a 2012 with 45000 miles
So my wife's 12' supercharged RRS is making a slight knocking/rattle sound that seems to be coming from the front of the engine. It doesn't have that exhaust leak ticking noise but more of a rattle/knocking sound.- wyrover

LR3 4.4 V8 vs LR4 5.0 V8 reliability?
I have a 07' LR3 HSE with the 4.4L V8 and it has been very reliable. How does the 5.0L V8 compare to it in terms of reliability? Possible going to go look at a 2011 LR4 but not sure if that engine is going to be as reliable as the 4.4L V8. Thoughts? Should this be posted in the LR4 section... -

LR3 freaking out when turn off!! lights, a/c and door locks blink on and off
I tried that first hoping that would fix it but no such luck. I also checked the bulbs, replaced the brake light switch and a new battery which needed to be replaced anyway but it ended up being the instrument cluster. -

Mine is a 07'. I purchased a used cluster off eBay and then used my IIDTool to re-flash the cluster to work with my vehicle. The only thing is you need to find a cluster that has lower miles than your current one as the mileage can only be increased and not decreased. I purchased the re-flash... -

Thoughts on 08' BMW X5 4.8i?
We have a 07' LR3 HSE and we're thinking of buying another vehicle to replace it with. I have been looking at BMW X5's online. I've been looking at the 4.8 V8's. Does anyone have any personal experience with these vehicles? It would be used for day to day driving so I'm not worried about off... -

Update: I purchased a used cluster from eBay. It was a 05'-06' cluster even though mine is a 07'. I purchased the fast lane service from GAP and installed the cluster using my IIDTool without any problems. The only thing is you need to purchase a cluster with lower mileage than your current... -

So my 07' LR3 HSE started unlocking the doors while driving and displaying this on the radio screen. I decided to replace the battery since it was 5 years old and when tested it was weak. I also replaced the brake light switch. Thought the problem was solved because it was fine for a few days... -

Brad never states there is a document stating the 945 supercedes the 925 spec. Brad B : Do not have a paper stating that it is superceded. I read through the article and it doesn't seem to state that the WSS-M2C945-A does in fact replace the 925-A. I called Ford and asked them to look on a bottle of 5W-20 full synthetic and it didn't mention the WSS-M2C925-A spec.- wyrover

Drove the new Discovery and I'm totally confused now.
I like the look of them better than the new Discovery. They still have some Land Rover look to them and not a Ford Explorer look. -

I believe it has to do with the speed rating of the tire. I'm sure the tires in their search engine need to meet certain parameters in order to show up in the listing. -

Seat recliner motor doesn't work
Figured it out. A friend was helping me trouble shoot and he found a pair of wires that were really stretched tight. He freed them up and the seat started working again.
