Thanks for the input! Very useful. Once I put the rods on I had it aligned. Thought I would use it more offroad than I actually do. For the amount I use offroad it wasn't worth the modification even though it looks really good. If I did it over I'd do the biggest tires without the rods...
I read that the LR4 Calipers could be ground down a touch and it would work. One guy said he did this and has been running the 18's on his LR4. Im just not following what the spacers are needed for. Does the brake assembly not only not fit unless ground down a bit but also got out toward the...
Why would you need spacers for using RR 20's? I have a LR3 and I had some never used take offs from a RR supercharged that I got off Craigslist. Looked good handling was improved on the freeway. Couple years ago went back to the 18's with 27/65/18 KO2's and johnson rods.
So after putting on the Johnson Rods and the bigger 275/ 65/ 18's I feel like my braking distance isn't what it was and now it is time to put new rotors and pads on. I read some threads of people putting 18's from a LR3 on a LR4 and having to skim the calipers with a grinder to have it fit the...
Front Runner has this but only in Australia and was considering it but I had no idea how involved it was. Thanks for posting! pretty sure the cost and time just convinced me no to proceed. Would like to use that spare tire space for something now that my bigger tires don't fit there and Im...
I guess anything you think I should focus on when doing this mod. I've never done this before. Also, wanted to see how it looked with tires that size at normal stock height.
I have those same tires and it does rub when I turn right all the way with the rods so I know what you mean. With those mods did you have to do any kind of lift?
Well I got the call from the mechanic that the air compressor is shot and it will be $1300. And most likely one of the struts has a leak and won't know that until it gets a new compressor. This all sounds really expensive, money I don't have right now. maybe ditch the air suspension when I...
Yeah I was wondering about the alignment, thanks for that input. I just wanted it to ride in access mode height while going high speeds on the freeway / highway then go back to the normal height when we got off the freeway. With the tires and the Johnson rods it sits kinda high. Which is good...
Thank you! I gotta get this in to the shop to get codes read and cleared. Do you recommend a code reader tool? I'd like to have one that would allow me to lower to access hight for long trips on the highway since I have the Johnson rods in it.

Given the age of the car I've been listening for an over working compressor that would indicate a leak every time i have the car on because if there is a leak I'd rather get the leak fixed instead of the leak and the compressor too. Also the car is not completely down in the morning just...
Hmm, I do not. Do you recommend one? I was thinking about getting one anyhow because I have Johnson Rods so I can fit LT275/65/18 BFG KO2's. I wanted to be able to override the computer and put it in "access height" on the freeway or highway for longer trips for a high speed ride...
I parked my 2007 LR3 for about three weeks in the garage and when I came back the suspension fault was lit in red. All special programs off it said. It was working just fine before I parked it. It has about 90k miles on it. I do not hear the compressor kicking on when I start and the...
This happened on my LR3. I didn't fix it myself. The body shop tried and failed but a local Rover shop fixed it by replacing the actuator. They over charged me I'm sure of it. Premier Rover in San Diego stay away.
