Ha! finally I have a "known issue" to fix on the LR3 - rear tailgate latch switch
Mine just started acting up - driving down the road the overhead light will suddenly come on with the message the hatch is open, then it will go off. Rear is fully shut. Mechanisms are working, but either the latch is sticking or a senor is going. It's a bit cold today to try and figure it... -
Disco 5 Shifter Conversion
I wondered the same thing, from the looks of new models, they may be reverting back to this shifter on many models, so perhaps in time it will be standard again.- catman

Problems with my 2017 LR5 First Edition

2010 LR4 Trim Badge??
This was an LR3 thing since there orginally was a V6 version. Being a 2010, it is possible the early in the model year ones carried over the format. Either that or the original owner (if not you) decided to add it. You could try the topix site to see if it says V8 HSE BADGE. I am not sure... -
A new oil filter on every oil change?
I have had 2 OEM LR oil filters start to leak at the seams after several months of use. Both replaced for free, but it's a hassle. I do not know if they wear from pressure or if it was just a fluke but I doubt I will ever not change one now when doing an oil change! -

Well it sure would be ironic if the disguise turns out to be more popular than the real thing.... They did indicate they were trying wait until the last moment for a reveal in an effort to prevent copycat units being made quickly, especially in China. -
