fyi- there are two types of terra grapplers out there (or at least there were when i was tire shopping a couple of years ago): the LT and the p metric. more info here: http://www.lrrforums.com/showthread.php?16699 this might explain the price difference. -

a couple of months ago i had the truck into the shop to get the control arm bushings changed out. when i picked it up the owner of the shop mentioned that they had broken a lug nut off the left front wheel, but they had replaced it. i just figured that one of the mechanics had used an impact... -

i'm running the 285 nittos and i had a suspension failure while mudding around a couple of months ago. dash went full christmas tree and it lowered to bump stops. i tried turning the car off and back on again- this caused the suspension to come back up, but after a couple hundred yards it... -

assuming this is equivalent to what i call a "salvage title," i would steer clear. on salvage cars, issues can become apparent down the line that you don't see on a test drive (impossible to align correctly, more squeaks than a non-repaired car, air bags not replaced, pinched wires causing... -

i feel your pain- it's very cold here too. it was 60 degrees at lunch today and temps might dip into the mid-40s overnight. fortunately, i don't have any steep driveways to deal with. -
Parking lot protection
i have the rover specialties sliders (stage II) and they have been superb. they offer a lot of protection on the trail, and they serve as a convenient step to get into the truck. highly recommended. -

i don't think they are the same engine- according to wikipedia, the ford engine bore and stroke is 92.2mm by 92.7mm; the LR engine is 92.5mm by 93mm. anyone have info that says otherwise? btw, i do wish LR implemented the door keypad that ford has used for a long time. such a great feature... -

just like navydevildoc posted, the noise i was experiencing went away on it's own. go figure.
