    2008 LR3 52Kmiles Rear brake lights work fine, but at night, one of my rear running (red) lights is out. I opened up the assembly and the bulb is the same bulb for the brake light, I move it around and works but doesn't stay on. Anyone with a similar issue?

    One of my keys is acting up, the other key (that we never used) works fine. The doors wouldn't lock with our remote. Then it would work...then it wouldn't. The started using the other key and no problem so it has to be the battery. Let me try this...thanks!

    2008 LR3 I also had the 'bonnet open' msg and the alarm would go off whenever I locked the Rover. Thanks to the members here, it took me 5 min to unplug bonnet switch and add a piece of foil and the 'bonnet open' msg was gone. Standing next to the fender, taking picture toward the front...

    In the 1st video you can hear it well at the 11 second mark. If you drive your Rover everyday, you will not notice it because it gradually gets worse. Have someone who doesn't drive/get driven in it to sit in the middle seat to see if they hear anything odd.

    Holy smoke... 08 LR3, 30k miles and I hear a rubbing noise too........so it's the rear differential huh? I also hear a random 'ticking' when I drive. It's not always, but it sounds like a nail in the tire but it's not. This forum ROCKS!!

    I did it friends. A 2008 LR3 with 9000+ miles for $38,000. It drives like my 325i, but up high and with three rows. Drive smooth and handles great. I think we're going to have fun with this.........

    In my case, the LR4, new would be mid 50k. The 2008 LR3 with 9K miles (demo) $38K, saving some money for a little RV/third wheel that we've wanted while still getting a nice LR3.

    gtc, thanks for your response. It wouldn't be a big deal 'taking it in' if the local land rover shop was close by. It's an hour away. But it sounds like THAT would be the biggest inconvenience, and my wife and I think the 3 rows and muscle on the beach is well worth it.
