    Just Purchased a 2010 LR4 HSE - I'm Happy!

Congrats on your purchases. I hope TATA continues the development of this truly amazing car. Great space, pace, and ability, and thats from an LR3 owner. I will only trade up or sell the car if I cam unable to find a reliable service shop once my extended warranty runs out, perhaps sometime...

    LR4 vs. LR3

The LR4 looks slightly more modern, but the pricing is near mad  Our dealer has some offers going on, just cannot justify spending $20-30K to upgrade, we are happy with our LR3 the way it is, which is mainly for school runs. Latest feedback from friends who has ripped off their...

    Price of a replacement key

As far as I know, only the dealer is able to do this for you. They did for free because I had purchased the key from them. I only bought from them because the owner had committed to supplying me with a second key, in which case I did not bother saving any money :bandit:

    LR3 Brush Bar Installation tips

How far away should you be from the ridge in the bumper on the side of the hole? 71mm down from the top of the bumper and how many mm away from the ridge? Very frustrating! I am looking a nicely used (tabular) nudge bar that does not have the mounting hardware (installation kit), can those...

    Nudge bar update

Where do you find the exact location on the bumper to drill the holes for the tubular frame? In the installation manual it just says 70mm without indicating how far from the ridge it should be (if you have the instructions handy you'll know what I mean).

Installation Kit for LR Nudge Bar

I am looking at a used Nudge Bar (Land Rover) for the LR3, they are asking about $150,00 but most of the bracket and bolts are lost! Is there any way to buy the installation kit separately? Does it have its own part number? Thanks.

Not really, here is the link to the thread where the Curt hitch is installed with the full spare in place http://forums.landroverworld.org/showthread.php?t=17019&highlight=Curt+Hitch Please let me know when you resolve this so that I can work on my install. You can PM the member who has done...

    Options for Tow Hitches

Hi Brian, Thanks for sharing that problem with us, I would never leave the house without the spare tire for this truck. Where are you having the problem? I mean, is the front of the tire hitting the hitch nearer the bumper? Any assistance from those of you who have installed the hitch and...

    tire 255/55/19

Had no choice but to go with the Goodyear Wranglers, so far so good, I intend to keep them for at least 70,000 KM. I changed the original set at 50,000 KM which had more than half of the tread left. My only limitation was availability of other tires. I paid $925 for 4 tires all in.

How to remove slime and paint from the underside

Hi all. Our LR3 is used mainly by the wife as a transport vehicle, with the occasional off road days when I am lucky enough to drive it. Recently, my wife ran over some slime/paint on the road, and as ususal, she has no idea what it is. It is off whie in color and all over the lower part of...

    Problems With the LR3

You do not mention where you live. Yes, it is a crack, and should be covered by warranty if you are still covered. Run to the dealership ASAP. Good luck.

    Options for Tow Hitches

I have the Curt hitch sitting in my garage now awaiting installation and I have the full spare tire under there. Most folks recommend lowering the spare for both the install and hooking up the electrics, which I intend to do as one, although I am a bit scared that the darn mecahnism that pulls...

Asessing the impact of speed bumps

I drove my car behind my wife's LR3 this morning since I was taking the same route and she was dropping off the kids to school. I have noticed that she does not  slow down on any of the speed bumps (there are about 20 of them before exiting to the main street). Granted, one does not feel...

For those of you with the Curt Hitch

For those of you with the Curt Hitch

For those of you who installed this hitch on your trucks, do I really need to lower the spare wheel or can I do without this procedure? Also, The wire harness from my trailer is a five pin, what is the best way to address this with the available LR3 harnesses?

    Options for Tow Hitches

After getting under my car, I found that there are two holes in the OEM bumper for the chains, I can use those or the ones that come with the Curt Hitch. Bily Lovec, how would you rate the installation on a scale of 1 to 10? 10 being the most difficult? I will probably buy it next week and I...

    Options for Tow Hitches

Besides cost, are you not able to achieve the same with the OEM part? I need to use the safety chains for my trailer given its size and that is why unless there is a solution for the LR3 part, I would have to go with the Curt. The one showing in the photo I posted does not appear to be made by...

    Options for Tow Hitches

Narrowed down my choices to either the Curt Tow Hitch or the OEM accessory KNB500080. My problem with the LR Tow Hitch is the fact that it does not have holes for the safety chains, is that not mandatory in the US? For those who are using this part, how or where do you attach the hooks for the...

    Alignement vs. New Tires

Hi there, no decision yet given tight finances. I am trying to run the OEM supplied Wranglers as long as I could. I doubt very much that they would last into the summer though. They are showing minor cracks due to heat and age. I will probably go with Michelin, I have never used them before.

    Alignement vs. New Tires

Thanks for the input guys, I have developed a slow leak in the rear right tire which I could not find. I guess I will wait as long as I can, my choices aren now the Good Years, Pirelli Scorpio Zero and Michelin Latitude, which I had always thought would be way overpriced but was not. Most...
