okay so just thought I would finally give y'all an update, sorry I know it's been awhile. I think what happened was that sometime before having replaced my head gaskets the engine "hydrolocked" from there being too much coolant in one of the combustion chambers; I just kept cranking the engine... -

NAS D90 rear forward facing bench seat
Would anyone be willing to sell their OEM forward facing bench seat from their D90? Prefebly one in good condition, little to no rust on seat frame. Perhaps someone has upgraded to the four-seat configuration and doesn't need their old bench anymore. -

Well anyways, I took the heads off and found where the pushrod came from, the front passenger side cylinder. Also took off the oilpan and found a bent/broken piston rod which corresponded to the cylinder w/ the missing pushrod. By the way the pushrod fell out through the lifter hole after the... -

So I just finished installing a new proline head gasket set in my 1997 4.0 Defender, thought I did a great job putting it all back together. I'm changing the head gaskets because there is a small coolant leak, but the engine has never been overheated in its 63,000 miles, is it really necessary that I get the heads checked for warp? -

My starter also doesn't kick the gear out far enough sometime which I read could be indicative of some electrical problems so could that be part of the issue? I have a new starter to install but getting the original one out is not easy at all. -

Alright so this morning the truck didn't want to start again, after I used starting fluid though it started right up. I didn't have to use the fluid when I started it the next two times this morning though and then on my way to school noticed my check engine light on.
