2011 with iPhone6
Here's what worked for me... I have a 2012. Use the old iPhone 30 pin connector cable and then buy the 30 pin to lightning cable (its around 9 inches long) and plug that into the iPhone 6. Works like a charm and will also charge the phone. -

GoPro for Trail Vids?
GoPro's work great. Make sure you get the remote version though. It saves a lot of headache getting in/out to turn the thing on/off. The GoPro3 Black comes with the remote. -

For those who have the power folding mirrors
My drivers mirror is a squeaker... I even had it replaced a year ago and the new one does it too. I'll probably have them do it again before the warranty runs out if I decide to keep it. Its a design flaw IMO. I'm in Seattle so its not a dust thing and lube seems to help but it comes back... -

@umbertob I can't weigh in on this question since I've never had to do it. But I suspect as a precaution it wouldn't be a bad idea to unplug the traxide from the lead coming from the main cranking battery. Below is a nice writeup of using your second battery for jumping your main cranking... -

@gamh2001 umbertob is correct. I installed this to run our ARB refrigerator when we go camping. It will keep the fridge going for at least 4-5 days without starting the truck. We also use it to charge our electronics, such as phones, emergency radios, etc. without having to start the truck... -

@drivesafe If memory serves... I think the cable coming from the Traxide box isn't long enough to reach over to the other side. I ended up putting sticky felt on the underside of the bracket to ensure it didn't come in contact with the bracket. A different bracket would probably work better... -

Mine has one but honestly I forget its even there. I wired a second battery in my truck and wired the back of the truck (Traxide) for our ARB fridge. You may end up spending the same getting the OEM cooler installed when it all said and done. The ARB cooler is amazing and will run for 4 days... -
