    Tailgate cable seems jammed

Good point, never realized the cable everyone was talking about was for the actual locking mechanism. I'll probably go ahead and order the part on blind faith as there doesn't seem to be too much more than could cause this particular problem. Need to order a Genuine Oil Filter anyways.

    Tailgate cable seems jammed

Well that's encouraging. Guessing I just need to disassemble that area and see what's going on.

    Tailgate cable seems jammed

I know there's a few threads around about this but I can't seem to determine if its exactly the same thing I'm experiencing. It would appear that the cable on the left side of the tailgate on our LR3 is jammed. Initially it just seemed to have problems reeling back in however the tailgate...

Sears Diehard Platinum P-1 fit in LR3?

I had thought about that one. In the end I really like the Platinums. I have two Odyssey's in my DII and love them. I should be able to make the P-1 fit but wanted to make sure there wasn't another Platinum option that worked better.

Sears Diehard Platinum P-1 fit in LR3?

I know many of you have installed this battery or at least a Sears Platinum in your LR3. I went to test fit it today and I'm going to have to modify a few things. 1) Looks like the factory tie down won't work. I'll have to get a regular ol' battery tie down with some longer bolts. 2)...

Why not many LR3 in the marked

This is exactly why I got mine as well. I tried to take an honest look at all the LR3 competitors out there before we bought ours. We are longtime Land Rover owners so we know them well. In the end I loved the Touraeg TDI, but really not so much the Toureag part but the TDI as they took all...

How many years did you get out of your OEM battery?

Is the Group 34 the best Sear Platinum size for the LR3? It looks like it should fit just want to make sure first.

    Aftermarket Hitch Options

Turns out they already make bags for bikes, they are mainly marketed for RV's as the one apparent side effect I hadn't considered keeps them from working on most cars. They can block taillights. I think it'd be fine on the LR3 since their so high up, not sure on the DII with some high and some...

    Yet Another Tow Hitch Problem

I don't think it's DOT approved either. Not that its going to matter to some folks. I plan on pulling an RV with mine so it definitely matters to me given the consequences of having an accident towing the RV with a non-DOT approved hitch.

    LR3 Skid Plates Design/Sizes etc.

This is misleading. The only thing that would need to change if using AL instead of steel would be just increase the thickness. It would still be at least 1/2 the weight if not even less. The reality is that its ok for skidplates to bend, they are meant as protection. If a person is going...

    LR3 Skid Plates Design/Sizes etc.

I've built a few skidplates in my days and unfortunately it's not that simple to manufacture an attractive well thought out skidplate. I went through about 4 or 5 iterations before I finally got all the measurements right. Even then I would have to tweak things over the years to bring...

    Moab Trail Advice

I'm going to go with No! You'd be crazy to take any stock vehicle up that obstacle. I had a highly modified RRC with 37"s and full custom suspension that I built and it had a hard time getting up that without laying the body against some rock. You might be able to make it in a lightly...

FS: LR3 Wheels & Off road accessories

If only you'd had these wheels up for sale a week ago, I'd picked them up on my way home from Seattle... I just got the 19's powder coated and new tires mounted up.

    Aftermarket Hitch Options

I wish mine would fit into a box like that. I have an XXL frame and a 29'er full suspension. It's honking big! It barely fits in the back of my DII with the front tire removed. Edit: Nice Audi BTW. We just sold our C5 S6 Avant to get the new to us LR3.

    Aftermarket Hitch Options

Does that hold the bike pretty stable? It's certainly high enough off the ground. I keep thinking somebody needs to make a bag that we can zip/velcro over bikes to keep them dust free when driving down dirt roads. Seems like it wouldn't be that difficult, could use ripstop fabric to make it...

    Aftermarket Hitch Options

If you've hooked up very many trailers you'd understand my concern. The factory hooks for safety chains are a PITA to get to and use. My initial problem was the low hanging factory hitch but it sounds as if the newer ones are a bit higher. Was not looking forward to taking a 4" drop arm and...

    Aftermarket Hitch Options

OK, thanks for the info. The Yakima rack I have bolts in pretty tight so it won't wiggle much. Nothing worse than your $3K mountain bike wiggling back and forth at highway speeds... I think I'll give the factory hitch a try first. Really would prefer the Curt but am concerned it might be...

    Aftermarket Hitch Options

Quick question for those with the factory hitch. Does it move at all when installed? Just wondering if a bike rack mounted to it will wiggle much? BTW, my Yak Rack has the tightening bolt so it's as solid as the hitch it's mounted to.

255/55/19 Cooper Zeons are a GO!

Awesome, kind of expected such but wanted a reality check before I ordered them. Originally wanted to get some 18" rims and get them powdercoated with Nitto's but decided I could just powder coat the 19" and use these as they seem pretty close in performance for my needs.

255/55/19 Cooper Zeons are a GO!

Any change in MPG? What about road noise? I assume on road handling is good as well? Also did you get a matching spare? And lastly, does it fit into the stock location? I have a feeling these might be hard to find as Discount Tire was telling me that a quick search only turned up 1 tire...

255/55/19 Cooper Zeons are a GO!

Any update on these? I'm thinking about ordering a set this week from Discount Tire. Seem to be a good alternative to having to locate 18" rims to get decent A/T tires. Also prefer the stock size for fuel mileage and towing.

    LR3 Roof Rack Opinion

Just a little insight into the BajaRack. In my opinion they aren't very well suited for walking on. They are great for loading things onto but the psi from walking on the thinner cross support rails can cause them to bend. I have one on my D2 and used to own a shop where we sold tons of them...
