Tailgate cable seems jammed

Sears Diehard Platinum P-1 fit in LR3?
I know many of you have installed this battery or at least a Sears Platinum in your LR3. I went to test fit it today and I'm going to have to modify a few things. 1) Looks like the factory tie down won't work. I'll have to get a regular ol' battery tie down with some longer bolts. 2)... -

Aftermarket Hitch Options
Is the Curt Hitch the only aftermarket hitch option for the LR3? It looks like a good deal from a price perspective but I'm struggling with it's rating 6,000/8,000 with the latter being with the addition of a weight distribution hitch. I understand that's a pretty standard rating for hitches...
