I ended up deciding on the Blizzak DMV1's as well. Too good of a price at $170 for an excellent tire. I seriously can't wait for it to snow to buy em' and put em' on. I'm also going to do a 4 wheel alignment.
As it stands at this very moment (ha ha, it changes every second) I'm going with the Blizzaks as well. I get a really good deal on them from my local shop and they can't barter at all on the Nokian's plus I've read nothing but good about them. I'll have them on for 4 months a year and only put...
^^^^ Yeah, those Nokian's look really nice. I think I'm going to give them a shot even though they're more money. It's funny how many times I've changed my mind on tires but these Nokian's really do look impressive.
Wow, this is very, very good information. I had no idea. After just researching these new R2 Nokian's, they seem amazing. Hmm, I'm highly considering them now. Thanks for the info.
I've never tried the Nokian's but I would 100% stand behind the Blizzak's. They are seriously amazing and handle wonderfully on standard dry roads as well. I would say save the money and go Blizzak's all day.
Well I'm going to do Blizzak DM-V1's for my winter tire & in the spring ditch my stock Conti's and get the Cooper's as my A/T tire. I love how the Coopers looked on the LR4 and I've had 3 sets of Blizzaks on my past 3 Audi S4's (And will be running them on my 2013 Audi S4 this winter as well)...
They said they're the best All Terrains they've used so far for the 255/55/19 and they've seen excellent tire wear from them. They said they were good in the snow & ice and they would be a great 1 tire all season but that a snow tire like the Blizzaks would obviously be the best snow tire but if...
So I stopped by my dealer yesterday. They said they've been having such great success with the Cooper Zeon LTZ that they're actually taking off the stock Conti's and putting on the Cooper's on their brand new LR4's. Here's some pics I took yesterday of a brand new 13' for sale on the lot with...
Where did you read that it got good snow reviews? I read that it wasn't to hot in the snow which is why I'm opting for Blizzaks for the winter since I'm in the snow a lot. I'd love to only have 1 tire and if the LTZ's get good snow reviews, maybe I'll consider not having 2 sets of tires.
I'm now really tempted to stick with doing the Blizzak's for the winter and then the Cooper Zeon LTZ's as my All season. I don't get off road to much but think they look rad. Or they a good highway tire, fairly low noise compared to the stock Conti's?
I'm the the SLC area. Just in the past few hours I made my mind up that I'm going to buy winters and summer tires. Bridgestone just released their Blizzak in a 255/55/19. I've run Blizzaks on my past 3 Audi S4's in the winters and they're BEAST so that's the route I'm gonna go. As they say, A/T...
How were your Cooper's this past winter in the snow on the streets? I'm in Utah too, don't get off road much but want a tire that's good on the roads but also good on the roads in our Utah winters when it dumps a few feet of snow. What do you think my best tire option is, 255 55 19?
I ended up upgrading to full HID as well. Kit plus install was $190 from my local indy shop. Looks awesome & very OEM. I got a 5,000K kit love it but I just ordered some 6K bulbs to see which color I like best. Land Rover won't void your warranty for headlight mods but they sure aren't going to...
I have a 2010 LR4 that has Halogen headlights, not HID. I purchased the Philips Crystal Vision Ultra - H11 for my low beams. Installed them the other day and they are much whiter and much improved over the stock halogen bulbs. I would highly recommend the cheap $30 upgrade. (Amazon). Not quite...
