Wet cabin air filter
I'd say it's one of the two. I replaced the cowl on my 2013. Seemed to work for a while, but wasn't until the sunroof drains were replaced that the issue was completely gone. Replacing the cowl is an easy DIY job. Sunroof drains were a no go for me, so opted to let the dealer handle that one. -

Absolutely. I talked to my service guy this week and he said they're starting to see them really come in for this issue. They're clearly do some sort of repair, so let's hope its covered. I'm certainly pushing for reimbursement, but just matter of getting it kicked off. Concern for me is if... -

Thanks. you've hit the nail on the head about my concern. Are they going to say any repair previously done doesn't qualify for reimbursement? Seems ridiculous if that's where they go given the thing was pouring gas out. -

At the time I took it in, I hadn't seen this thread and didn't until after I picked it up. I called the dealer this morning and they were not even aware of this at all. It looks like I'll have to wait a bit, but seems promising since I've got all the documentation. -

Following. I just got my 2013 LR4 back from the dealer for this EXACT issue. Ticket says fuel tank cap/flange and tank seal. $1,700 so I'd love to get refunded for this one. -

Well, thanks to the search function, we can add another one to the list. 2013 LR4 100k miles and getting the gas smell (progressively stronger) near the rear passenger tire. Really starting to get irritated with the cost of owning this vehicle. Just went through the entire water pump issue... -

How is your new D5?
Resurrecting this thread, but curious what people's updated views are. We've got about 90,000 miles on the LR4 now and have it at the dealer for some service. They gave us a Disco 5 for a loaner and I've gotta say I'm a little disappointed. This doesn't really have the "truck" feel as much...- TXLR4

all good and well to be able to change it yourself, but you either have to go to the dealer, buy the expensive IID tool, or pay someone with a tool to reset the annoying oil filter reminder... -

does anyone have a relative idea as to what fair value is for the extended warranty offered through Land Rover? Accidentally backed into another car:stupid: the other day...luckily no major damage all the way around. Only issue is a cracked driver side tail light. I looked on rover parts and was shocked to see $450. I guess its because it is LED? Any recommendations on other sources? Definitely... -

contis were junk on mine. ended up replacing them all at ~15k (had ruined one with a nail in the sidewall...long story). Went with bridgestone dueler alenzas...very happy so far at 30k -

I was a little off on timing...it was there in June. Regardless, I called and asked. Service rep said he's had computer glitches like that happen before and mentioned some sort of recall for that. All you do is have them reset it and go along, but be mindful of when the next service needs to... -

Just picked up EBC pads and rotors
RBA, you're spot on. The front REALLY sucks to do. I also had to drop to clips of the fender liner to get my hands in there. I'd say your advise is exactly how i did mine and it does take far too long. Back is a piece of cake! -

Rear brake pads wearing faster than fronts?
Yep, pretty much what everyone else said...I replaced my rear pads at 28k and now the fronts just tripped the sensor at 31k..so here i go again. -
