    In a cold morning listen for sharp sounding metallic clicking. I don’t thing you’d miss it, it is loud.

    I’m not sure the LR3 has a viscous clutch fan that is electronically controlled, but my LR4 would do that when the clutch was stuck. Worth checking out.

    That is a great point, It had been raining for a while. It was more pronounced when there was a rut in the road. Nevertheless it was there and I felt like at anytime I'd loose control. I think I will return them and go for the GY Wragler Duratracs .

    I just installed last Friday the Continental Terraincontact AT... They look great and I hope they live up to their great reputation. I had the Duratrac's and they got progressively louder as they aged. Hope this helps.

    I would have the mechanic check your electronically controlled fan clutch. In cold morning you should hear a clicking noise coming from if it is broken. I replaced mine myself at 93k miles.
