    Very much agreed! OP asked not to replace the entire console which in my research has been the only way to get new knobs, at a $280 price tag, no need for that.

    Just hit 70k on our HSE LUX, bought it with 64k on the odo. Things we’ve done: Transfer case fluid change. Front suspension crosslink valve replaced (front end would sag overnight). Oil change. Front brake pads replaced. Plastidip wheels matte black. Favorite vehicle we’ve owned yet.

    Thanks for replying, yes bumper covers in place. Sorry, the long piece is about 12 inches long. I couldn’t find any part numbers or any identifying text. I am thinking they are part of seating as well, both were found under driver and passenger front seats. Thanks for replying everyone!

    Took it to Rover Doctor and it turns out to be a stuck on open solenoid/valve block. They ordered a new valve and I will be replacing that and doing a Transfer Case service at the same time. Glad it’s not a n air strut.
