    Long Roof Rails

What? Take a pic. That’s what you get when you buy the $100 knockoff and the OE part is $600. It’s not hard to figure out. I have the knockoff ones on my truck.

    Oil filter cap

My truck doesn’t have that, and I noticed the same thing with Delhi filters

    ftillier's maintenance history

Yessir. I really like the new Land Cruiser, it really compares 1:1 with the LR4 in a lot of ways. Similar power, similar size/shape, similar capabilities. But no three row, no V8 noises (I’m sure it will get better MPG) and it’s $60k. Sure, it’ll probably be more reliable long term but that’s a...

    LR4 drawer/slide setup - NY

Custom built single drawer and fridge slide for a LR3/4. Will probably fit similar sized cargo areas… 4Runner, GX, etc. Is but at an angle to accommodate floor and provide level top. Plywood frame, solid wood drawers. Glued and pocket hole screwed, super solid. 200lb full extension lockout...

There may be nothing you can do... P0016

I’d never jump to a $5000 timing chain job if this truck popped a code once… not relying on Rover electronics for that. I’ll wait til I hear the slap or get a consistent cam/crank correlation code.

There may be nothing you can do... P0016

I did an entire timing belt service on my old Subaru because of a bad OEM cam sensor right out of the box. Start with the cheapest/easiest fix first.

    Evaporative Emissions Canister

Yup, you can finagle the canister around a bit and get the DMTL pump out. It’s annoying, but not difficult.

    becoming collectible

Upper Brookville is one of the most affluent towns in the country. That truck probably only got driven a couple times a year, in sure the family has a few other cars.

    Highest mileage LR4?

“Find another one” is the quote that is relevant here.

At Long Last... Modern head unit!

I have a naviplus style add-in, I just wish the sound quality was better. I contemplated getting a different screen but meh.

    Highest mileage LR4?

I would be surprised if it went for more than $12. Chain service doesn’t matter, look at the past results. The market has REALLY cooled down unless you have a 13 or 14-16 with under 50-60k you’re not getting anything for it. Maybe if you have perfect service records and you have a Rover...

    Highest mileage LR4?

LC parts are expensive AF especially if you are going OEM. Plenty of crazies buy 150k+ mile examples for $15k, then depend $6-7k “baselining” before any mods. Then they’ll go ahead and say Rovers are money pits.

    pizza cutters...General Grabber ATx

Never had a problem aired down with my XL rated Toyo AT3s. I air down to 15psi on the beach every other weekend 9 months a year, and sometimes drive a few miles at 50mph at that pressure on the street. Done some decent wheeling aired down as well, no issues. Sidewalls look great. I’ve punctured...

No reason not to go one size up. Spare fits, nothing rubs.

    TOYO AT3 255/55/19

I have almost 40k on my 225/60-19 AT3s, they have about 15-20k left but they’ve started to hydroplane badly. I’m moving to 18s for the best set of tires, so no more Toyos for me. They’ve been great otherwise.

    pizza cutters...General Grabber ATx

I wouldn’t worry about the sidewalls much as long as you get XL rated tires so you can safely carry the truck up to max GVWR. I regularly air my 255/60-19 Toyos to 15 psi and even drive 15-20 minutes at 45-50mph at that pressure with no issues. I would never ever under any circumstance run a...

There’s a guy in Europe running 255/70-18 BFG ATs. That’s the size I plan on upgrading to end of the year, same height as 275/65-18 which many run successfully

Be honest! What's the deepest snow you've driven in with your LR4

You can do full on suicide spins with the DSC off if you want to. The truck eventually gives up and lets you put the power down.

Be honest! What's the deepest snow you've driven in with your LR4

Give it a chance. The turning off the DSC isnt really turning off traction control… the systems are still very much active but you allow the truck to get a lot more loose and have lots of wheel spin. It is still very much monitoring your throttle input, yaw, steering angle, wheel speed, etc and...

Be honest! What's the deepest snow you've driven in with your LR4

Yes, these trucks don’t drive like a traditional part-time 4x4 where you’d blip the throttle to rotate it. The default is to just PUSH and understeer. If you are driving around on the highway or shallow snow, snow/ice mode works best. That keeps slippage to an absolute minimum, it will also...

Loosing a little bit of coolant

I smell coolant here and there on my truck, I added maybe a quart of it 2 years ago and it hasn’t lost any since.

    maintenance history since new 2013

If I tracked the cost of fuel I’d off myself. It’s finally getting cheaper now but it was essentially a car payment for a while.

    maintenance history since new 2013

3 years and one month here… 46-86k, I haven’t included the price of fluids but outside of that I’m still under $2000 in maintenance.

    Think these will fit?

Floating spacers are dangerous AF. Wheel adapters are…. Better.
