Wiring harness stuck in gear shifter box.

Hey you guys. I have a 2006 Lr3 se. I was trying to unplug the shifter wiring harness from the gear selector and the release bar on the plug broke. Does anyone know how I can still get it unplugged so I can check for possible corrosion? Thanks!
