There was a problem with the CATS .. changed them .. emission passed .. but slight roughness on initial cold start still there .. runs rough for a little while about 10 secs .. then everything is fine ...- desperadodc

New MAF sensor caused more problems .. replaced the original one ...tech said he will check Catalytic converters .... anyone have any ideas out there?- desperadodc

Hi all; I have a 1998 Discovery and in Toronto we have something called emission testing which my DISCO failed... seems that the mixture is too rich ... plugs have carbon deposits on them. Initial start results in very rough idle ..only clears up when you accelerate a bit and she warms up a...- desperadodc

The DISCO has been in the shop all week .. problems getting parts from LR Canada ... anyway .. Shocks was not on the menu .. will tell Service Tech to investigate. is there anyway to tell if they are faulty?- desperadodc

Hi Joey I had my mechanic replace the tie rods, Steering dampper and steering box was rebuilt. Also we also redid the swivel preload .. and still problems. Land Rover experts said if all fails we should replace the swivel housing and that will solve everything. Anyone know where I can get 2...- desperadodc

I am having the exact problem with my 98 Discovery. Is the problem really with the swivel preload. I have done the steering box, damper and tie rods already. Could the tires be responsible as well ????? Help- desperadodc

much too high fuel pressure on 98 Discovery
Thanks Joey ... checked the regulator ... found to be sticking... freed it up and pressure was fine.....- desperadodc

took my Discovery to be repaired... faulty fuel pump ... fuel pump replace but now the fuel pressure is way too high ... 15psi more than it should. Any ideas out there ?- desperadodc
