Suspension Fault When Parked on Incline

I literally went through all my valves, everything, trying to chase this issue... I flashed the firmware once the GAP tool arrived and it was like a switch; the code went away and so far didn't come back (it's been 16 months)... I hope you have the same issue and resolution but defer to those...

Suspension Fault When Parked on Incline

I had a lot of fun with this very same code and also noticed issues an an incline... Here's the thread: https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/2012-lr4-reluctant-to-lower-from-off-road-suspension-mode.44636/ To cut a long story short, the compressor was incorrectly specified in the RLM ECU...

    Look at the miles

Price looks pretty darn good as well (just over $4K), I know that $5K is the number usually quoted; I also see they mark it as 19hours, my local Indy said 18hours; so good ballpark figure there as well...

Different oil level readings with hood open

Why, it won't be full, we already know that it takes time for the oil to drain back to the sump, it's basic fluid mechanics...

Different oil level readings with hood open

Agreed! A plot would be interesting but is obviously dependent on the viscosity of the oil and other variables.

Different oil level readings with hood open

"How long was the interval between the photo ending in 14 and the one ending in 16? If you use the "hood open/cancel twice" trick soon after stopping the engine, you can actually watch the oil level indicator rise." Great question, I think what you really need to consider is how long after...

    Injector failure?

Could it be some sort of electrical gremlin whereby re-seating, moving, etc. has caused the fault to disappear? At a stretch I could imagine moving the coil and plug could reestablish a better ground? It's weird!

    2016 LR4 Landmark SCV6 Engine Failure at 65k. WWYD?

This is my understanding; I did recently receive a low fluid warming on my 2012. I plan to tackle the timing chains, crossover pipes and coolant pipes later this summer...

    Only normal Height Available.

First post on this page shows some videos on servicing the front valve block (rear is the same but it's much harder to remove the valve block!), there's also a link to where I bought the replacement o'rings, I also used some silicon grease when installing them, the car stays at normal height for...

    Only normal Height Available.

The front valve block is quite easy to remove, clean and install new seals. I'd be inclined to also spray soapy water on the airspring. It certainly appears you have a leak given the fuse removal. There's been some issues with valve replacement kits; I'll send you a link shortly to the ones...

    Only normal Height Available.

And, was the compressor replaced with the correct type; so these vehicles can have either a Hitachi or AMK compressor, typically AMK came in 2012 and later (I think this was the transition date). You need to know that the RLM Module (the computer dedicated to the suspension) is flashed for the...

    2013 LR4 Suspension Compressor

I found an AMK unit in the UK that was quite a bit cheaper; I think I've provided details in a previous thread; the company was Island 4X4. The install is pretty easy.

    gallery pressure

Just found this for gallery pressure: ~240-260psi I purchased the AMK compressor in the UK from Island4x4 (this was a quick search so please verify), also I read you have a Hitachi, personally I'd swap to the AMK but you have to flash the firmware...

    gallery pressure

I can offer the charts in this thread: https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/2012-lr4-reluctant-to-lower-from-off-road-suspension-mode.44636/page-5 They're not exactly what you're after but I believe in the thread I speak about gallery pressure (it's 230 psi if I recall?). If I get some time...

    2016 LR4 Suspension Issue

Did you also do the middle and rear block? I did the front one first; then the rear one and then the middle one. I was chasing another problem and ended up doing all valves in my hunt for a resolution... It's still sitting pretty! Good luck.

    2016 LR4 Suspension Issue

Wish I could remember to advise you but I don't, as mentioned; the kit worked well, take your time, clean everything up and use a tiny amount of silicon grease to help with the sealing.

    2016 LR4 Suspension Issue

I was in the UK for three weeks this past summer; the rig didn't drop at all while we were away. Not sure what else to say, I'm a believer! I used a tiny amount of silicon grease to make sure they're free to work; I serviced all three valves (front, middle and rear for the newbies). In fact...

    2016 LR4 Suspension Issue

If it was just replaced could it be an issue with how it was fitted, did the sagging happen after it was replaced? I'm a big fan of pulling it apart and looking for silica dust, I believe it wreaks havoc with the operation of the valve.

    2016 LR4 Suspension Issue

I'm not sure of the difference but I seem to recall different part numbers front to rear; TBH better to be safe than sorry and make sure you use the right components. In the thread that I linked above I believe I also copied the link to where I purchased the o'rings; ever since I did the work...

Be honest! What's the deepest snow you've driven in with your LR4

Tires are absolutely everything when it comes to snow driving, a crap car with good snow tires will typically do much better than a good car with crap tires; it's basic laws of physics. The same is true with the mass and momentum of this vehicle, tire size, etc. If you want the vehicle to be...

    2016 LR4 Suspension Issue

This thread is where I started looking at the front valve, a couple of YouTube videos are referenced, also, feel free to read the thread as I go down the rabbit hole with the suspension (and get great help from the awesome folks here :-) )...
