    I don't believe that is true. Look at the pictures in this link. The non-G version of the part number is a genuine Land Rover replacement part as well https://lucky8llc.com/products/lower-steering-shaft-genuine

    I don't think so, there is genuine part number for both shafts that I provided a link to. They look like a different design too.
