I have this same problem with mt 2005 LR3. It has 60K miles and has been kept in the garage. I bought ir pre-owned and the warranty was extened to 5 years or 75K miles. I did not read the fine print. After 50K most things on the LR3 are NOT covered. The local dealer told me "acid rain"... -

Broken Fig Light Glass

Front Seats Cracking
I disagree, at 48k miles (not 40k as stated before) leather seats should not start to wear on a Land Rover. This is suppose to be a tough off road vehicle. Unfortunately, coporate LR agreed with the dealer that this is normal wear & tear. So, my next move is to post on every forum that I can... -

40,000 miles. LR dealer just called and said "not covered by warranty". I will take it up with LR corporate from this point. -

Has anyone else had a problem with the sides of the front seats starting to crack? On my 2005 LR3, the side of the seat (the part you sit on) "folds" in the same place every time I sit on the seat. It appears that this folding and unfolding in the same place has caused the seat to start to... -

Best HSE tire option
Toyo Tires The Goodyear tires are terrible. Just replaced my 2005 LR3 Goodyear's with Toyo and the ride and handling is so much better. Also, told my sales rep about doing this and he laughed because he had just done the same thing on his 2006 LR3. He agreed the Toyo's are much much better. -
